I have had the worst luck trying to figure out how to hackintosh my 20 core (2x 2680v2) with an x9dai motherboard. Everywhere I look, I find contradicting instructions and information. I don't even know what to believe as far as Sierra being capable of running that many cores. Could you please...
I can't believe I've found someone else trying to do this right now. I am very interested in this solution as well. Same motherboard, 2x 2680v2, and gtx970.
I took this at face value until reading the moderator response here. Now I've stopped looking for a non-Supermicro motherboard, to being thoroughly confused on which person is right.
Ok, I'm so frustrated now. I've gone through every contradicting set of instructions for the X9Dai motherboard with no success. Then I find a thread that states supermicros are the worst because
“The reason I pointed out the BIOS is that Supermicro run their own BIOS system and have their own...
Hey bro, have you ever been able to upgrade to sierra? You're the closest bid, and once we replace my motherboard, we should have everything working. I just have all my current programs and everything upgraded to Sierra on my current computer (MBPR 15' late 2013) and I am really concerned about...
I have this exact configuration and the system locks up on boot. I added the boot options and it doesn't go past the apple loading screen during boot to setup. Have any pointers that you could give me on this?
UPDATE:
I did what whiteshiel said (removed fix2driv and installed fixdriv) and this time received the error
OsxAptipFixFrv: Error - requested memory exceeds our allocated relocation block...
and then,
Error allocating 0x12092....Couldn't allocate runtime area.

- Were you able to get a thunderbolt card to work with your x9 and v2 E5's? I'm just starting my first build, and have the X9-DAI-O, with dual 2680v2...
I've finally convinced my current employer to throw down the money for a new workstation. As I'm spending someone else's money, I'm really trying to be smart about it. I put together a parts list with two friends, one of the best 3D artists I know, and a high-end IT manager, but I'm not...
Pardon my denseness, but what do you mean when you say 'make sure your motherboard is fully bluetooth powered'? Does that mean it needs to be equipped with bluetooth? I'm about to start my first build, and am stuck with a server motherboard because I need dual Xeons, and don't believe that any...
