I'm using the port closest to the PS2 port as well, that one seems to have the pass trough enabled. My setup consists of:
RX480 Displayport out -> Z170X Displayport in -> Z170X Thunderbolt out (next to the PS2 ports)
If you use the Integrated Graphics the other thunderbolt port (furthest from...
I have the setup running pretty well at the moment (including audio, sleep etc), one thing that might not work for you is chaining the displays if you plan on using a dedicated GPU (only one of the thunderbolt ports seems to output the pass trough DisplayPort data so you have to somehow use that...
This is what I've tried so far:
* Found my ahci path using IORegExplorer,
* Created the aml using that path.
* Created HackrNVMeFamily using --spoof and 10_12_3
* Added HackrNVMeFamily to /EFI/Clover/kexts/other
* Set inject kexts in config.plist
* Added the plextor specific patch to kexts to...
I haven't used Unigine Heaven on my machine yet, but running Valley gives me a score somewhere between 1800 - 1900 on Extreme HD settings. With only adding the device ID to 4100X kext. Without inject Ati (which seemed to decrease my performance) or other patches.
Do you get decent performance...
Did you also use the patched AML? If so could you post it? I've tried several methods, (patched AML and removing IONVMeFamily.kext), but I can't get the SSD to show up.
It feels like you do have OpenCL acceleration, I wouldn't be surpised if that works out of the box (the AMD9500Controller has support for the RX480 without changing it).
Are you sure you added the right ID to the AMDRadeonX4100.kext? Also after editing it make sure you clear your cache with...
I just updated, restarted (lost acceleration), reapplied the patches to the AMD9500Controller and AMDRadeonX4100 kexts, refreshed the kext cache and restarted. That was it.
Did you set your primary display to the pci-e slot of the rx 480?
Luxmark and Unigine benchmark different things, lux is openCL, unigine is openGL. How is your user interface responding in MacOS?
Keep in mind you don't have crossfireX in MacOS, but you can use the cards separately no problem. The 10.12.3 changes haven't had impact on enabling the RX4xx cards since 10.12.2.
My thunderbolt experiences with this board F21 Bios flashed:
After shutdown > power up, thunderbolt doesn't seem to fully activate, i have a Apple thunderbolt display attached to it using an Apple thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter. After shutdown only the display works, have to unplug power to get...
Sounds like you forgot to plug one of the atx-cables or a DOA. The mainboard has a power button near the top of the memory sockets which should emit red light while off.
