For whatever reason, your files don't work for me. I loaded them and I get the circle with the line through it that does not let me boot. I had to run around finding my own stuff for the most part. It's fine as I now have mine working almost 100% (Just can't get the fans to be detected and I do...
I've gone with this Midi solution as well. Additionally, I have installed the BitGapp | eqMac app which allows me additional equalizer controls for the headphones or plugged in speakers. Seems like a sufficient solution.
Thanks. Unfortunately, this is over my head. Maybe someone with more skill will come along and give this a try someday and update this thread. If that day comes. Check out this thread and look here for files and here for the Asus UX430UA config file.
Ooooo, it is! Asus UX430UA
Can you point me towards yours so I can deconstruct. This is new territory for me, but I'm perfectly happy to give it a go with my hack-attack programming prowess.
It's not that really. When it was still running Windows, the fans came on even at 35C. I could use a fan control and set them not to come on until at least 60C so I didn't have a fan always running. It seems the BIOS for this laptop wants them on all the time. I can live with it, but it would be...
Does that mean that there is no way for me to control the fans? They're always on! I would love to change the sensitivity to them but assume that they need to be detected before I can do that.
Also off topic but following inline here for this one HDMI Audio question only. Will more to new thread after this one:
Is the Rename BOD3 to HDAU necessary on a Kabylake processor? If so, I should then go ahead and patch my DDST and all SSDT files to move forward for HDMI sound. Correct?
Yes. I assume then that any of the other fan control programs can't see it either if HwMonitor.app can't see it. tgpro can't see them so I can't control them. Correct?
Ah true. I was hoping there was a thread I was missing. I'm assuming not at this point. Attached the files now. So appreciate any help you can give. The only two issues I am having is the fan not being detected and getting sound over HDMI. I have not patched the DSDT.aml file for Rename BOD3 to...
Is this a common issue? My fans don't show up in HWMonitor or any other fan control software. Can someone point me to a thread to fix this?
I have everything up and running except for my HDMI Audio and I have that crackling over headphones issue with regular audio. I want to control my fans...
Did you have to do anything to get your fan to be seen? I Would like to use some kind of fan control to quiet the fan but it is not recognized by any of the control software options I have tried.
Same laptop as yours: The Asus UX430UA Kabylake i7-7500U
Thanks.
Any chance you will put together a slim guide that points more specifically at the things you did to get stuff to work? I'm going around in circles on things you figured out. :(
I've installed the High Sierra 13.0 OS on my Asus Zenbook UX430UA successfully. I then followed the detailed instructions to load Clover on the SSD. It is there with all of the essential kexts and the correct 620 config file. When I try to reboot without the USB, I can't get it to the Clover...
Right. Naturally, I started there. I do see in these starter posts that 10.12.5 and above is required for Kaby Lake processors. I don't see an answer to my question anywhere in there. Can one start with a 10.12.0 installer and run the combo updater to get to the 10.12.5+ or does one have to...
I am going to build an ASUS ZenBook UX330UA-AH54 Kaby Lake Laptop. I don't have access to the 10.12.6 OS X Install App, and it is no longer downloadable from the app store. I do have my 10.12 OS X Install App from my desktop build and have downloaded the 10.12.6 OS X Combo update. Will that work...
UPDATE: Jeremy got me to the finish line! I think I have the Golden Build. A complete NewB and I have a Hackintosh up and running in a week! Thanks to the whole team that contributed to these guides. You guys rock!
Step 1: Replace the Wifi card that came with the H170N-Wifi board with This Wifi...
Ok. I think I did it all correctly. Climbing the learning curve. The built in WiFi is now working on my H170N-WIFI motherboard since I replaced the wifi card with the BMC94532Z and ran through all of these patches. Thanks so much! One problem, I still cannot access the App Store. I'm still...
Okay. I hope this is my last NewB question. So a "Patch" means I take the info in the patch file and move it into my config.plist file? My next step is to:
And I should be up an running on WIFI and App Store?
