I have tried to switch over to virtualsmc and can't seem to get a successful boot now. I believe I forgot to delete some extra kexts or my Lilu version doesn't match up with virtualsmc
Booting to the usb doesn't seem to work either.
Hello all,
Currently using integrated graphics: Intel HD Graphics 630
I've scoured the internet and came across the updated Lilu and Whatevergreen kexts & some other ideas that didn't seem to do anything but completely screw up the vram. From 1536mb to 7mb. Finally got that back to working...
Purchased a USB isolator. Now my computer won't recognize the audio interface.
The noise is completely gone though. I'm wondering if there's a way to eradicate the ground loop from within the tower.
Will report back.
Hello everyone. Finally got my build up with audio and internet.
Noticing some static in my studio monitors being routed through a USB interface. I've tried using different ports and putting different components on separate power strips in case it was a grounding issue.
Read that it could be...
I found an article with these commands to remove AppleIntelE1000e.kext
mount - uw /
cd /System/Library/Extensions
rm -rf name_of_the_kext.kext
sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/*
shutdown -r now
So far nothing has changed. Using the Debug kexts "kextlog=0xffff" boot arg to further...
After the initial install I was able to boot in and everything was gravy.
When I started using multibeast to install drivers is where everything went to 'ell. Ultimately I was able to still boot in using the boot args "nv_disable=1" & "-disablegfxfirmware" (I still have no clue what...
Was Sierra that much different of an install?
I couldn't care less about the features of High Sierra. I was just starting with whatever was most up-to-date.
So I guess I spoke too soon. If an admin could remove the solved in the title, I am having boot issues once again.
This time it was caused by running multibeast and installing the bare minimum. I don't have internet, audio or a gpu for this build yet. I ran the boot in verbose mode and received...
It would load like it was going to boot up, but then it just got stuck in a loop. It never froze on the load screen though. I'm not positive if it matters, but maybe the dash has to be in there. -disablegfxfirmware
So I found some info on -disablegfxfirmware boot arg, which is what booting in verbose is telling me. Not exactly sure how to go about the proper syntax in clover yet, but I'm going to experiment. Will report back.
I tried to troubleshoot and research the forums as much as I could without posting, but I'm at a standstill now. I followed the high sierra install guide, but after the install and before any post-installation with multibeast, there seems to be some info missing or a step that I may have...
