MB Sierra edition does appear to work for HS when you format your HD as HFS+, so it is half right.

When you get to the Clover screen press 'space' bar (so that you can the option to add boot variables - you may need a USB keyboard). Look down the list and select 'Verbose'. Then go back up and select to boot with the selected options. This will then give you more info as to where the boot stops.
