Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Hi Docxavier, Again : many thanks for your answer. It seems I am still unable to get my RX 460 to work. So here are my 4 questions : - 1°) to get it to output something, do I have to use the DP port ? Or should the HDMI output work also ? - 2°) to get the RX 460 to output anything, do I have...

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Hi Docxavier, Thanks a lot for your answer. I'm planning to get a MSI AMD Radeon RX 460 4GB OC. Price is decently fair (120€ here in France)... brand new of course. To boot macOs Sierra, do I have to edit anything or do I just plug-in the card and... voilà ? I've read that I may have to...

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Hi guys, Sorry if I am a little lazy (and also a bit in a hurry)... But would a RX 460 4GB work in a hackintosh OOB (even with no boot logo, I don't care...). I would run macOs Sierra 12.5. If it helps, I am ready to install earlier versions (but not too old ones). Thanks for your answers...

    Gigabyte MD80-TM0

Hi, As a follow up : the guy who was offering the MoBo lowered it's price. So I can get it for 360€ which would be about 395$ I think... Which I consider decent. I also found a Phanteks Enthoo Primo case for the MoBo for 120€ (135$) including shipping. I now need to find a power supply...

    Gigabyte MD80-TM0

Hi, Goal of the system would to set-up a more than decently fast build server for me and some friends/users. So basically, a machine that would brunch stuff to compile so we have an app as an output... Today, a build takes about 90 minutes on my MacPro and uses all available resources...

    Gigabyte MD80-TM0

Hi guys, As I plan to update my now almost 8 years old MacPro 4.1, I was looking for a real boost for a decent price. I get a nice opportunity to get my hands on a Gigabyte MD80-TM0 motherboard. I love it because of some features : dual CPU of course ; 24 slots for RAM ; 10Gbps network ; M.2...

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi, Don't know what progresses have been made since then... But about 1 month ago, installing macOs was possible but would leave you with a crippled machine :( On Windows => everything works and I have up to 10 hours of battery life with screen on and VP hooked up to HDMI port ; On Linux =>...

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi, Maybe you should try to reinstall the drivers that run the device ? If you look around, you'll find a package of all drivers. If you don't find it, I'll put it on my NAS and will give you access to it. I don't have those kind of problems with Windows 10 Pro French official version...

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi firstcreative, I'd be interested in your battery life with screen on... If it is at least on par with the result of Win 10 (up to 9/10 hours) or even Linux (8 hours approximately), I may give it a try... Regards.

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi, Yes :-) I'd probably dedicate more time to this if the result would be a fully functional machine. But even if I manage to get it to work, I'll have a crippled machine anyways : no Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi, no NVMe and probably not more than 4h30 of battery life. Not worth spending too much...

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi HochaudiBMW, Thanks... but I decided to give up the installation of macOs. It will take away too much time for me... So I'll keep it with triple booting : W10, Linux and Android. And thus, no need for support :-) Regards.

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi RehabMan, Thanks a lot for the link. Didn't really paid attention to the "Laptop" section. Will give it a more in-depth look, but the first one was somewhat frightening : a lot of terms I don't even suspected could exist :-(

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi HorchaudiBMW, Thanks for your answer... and please forgive the stupid question :( This is my very first attempt to install MacOs on a PC (be it a laptop or a desktop). And it's not always really obvious what to do, whatever the quantity of things you read :) So, on the laptop, I don't need...

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi all, So I decided to give it a go. Tried to install macOs X Sierra on the Notebook Air 13,3" (which apparently is a Rev. 2 with the missing M.2 WWLAN slot :( Install was pretty easy, even for my first try... But on reboot and after I used multibeast, I have no working keyboard and no...

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi, Wouldn't a Wi-Fi and/or BT dongle be a much simpler option ? Provided, of course, we can find a working dongle for macOs Sierra... And of course one that isn't too big and ugly :-) Me : I don't use BT. So a Wi-Fi dongle would do. Regards.

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi, Hum... I think that sacrificing NVMe for a Wi-Fi card isn't the best option :-( Here, on the NVMe drive, Win10 boots in like 6 seconds ! Regards.

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi, Nope. I need that second drive... but if that allows the installation of a fully working macOs I may get rid of it and replace the main drive with a 512GB unit :-) So here are my questions : - are we talking about the NVMe slot or about the second M.2 SATA slot ? - what card should be...

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi, I'd surely would try it out... But it seems I have a Rev. B NoteBook, so no additional WWLAN slot available. I get the WWLAN written... but the slot is missing. Unsoldered :-( Too bad. Regards.

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi, It should be noted that there aren't 2 NVMe ports, but only one. The other one is a M.2 SATA port. Maybe this has also changed with the revision you're mentioning as mine has the M.2 WWLAN port unsoldered and has a NVMe with the stock SSD and another port label MSATA.2. If so, the mk1...

    Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Hi guys, In 2 days from now, I'll get my Xiaomi NoteBook 13,3". I've read the whole 14 pages, but it seems there are 2 problems if I want to install macOs Sierra on this Notebook. First problem is Wi-Fi. But it seems that people do report that the 13,3" has an empty slot to add a Wi-Fi card...
