    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I literally did this exact thing an hour or so before you posted! This is the solution. My steps were similar: I uninstalled Desktop Video 12.2, booted into recovery, disabled SIP (csrutil disable), and then deleted the Decklink_Driver.kext in Terminal (while still in Recovery mode). Then I...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I have tried. I installed and uninstalled the latest version of Blackmagic Desktop Video multiple times and even tried going back a version. The DeckLink_Driver.kext is showing up in Library>Extensions but the app still is not detecting a device. Anything else you'd recommend trying? It...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I just downloaded IORegistryExplorer... I can't tell if they're present. Attached my IO Reg file. (edit: removed for security) I'm running Monterey 12.2 — should I move to 12.3? Looks like I don't have either patch for AQC-107 so I guess I should at minimum try adding the one you have for 12.2...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

First off thank you so much for your help. I've been using your guide since 2019. Long story short: I'm running a new install of Monterey and two of my PCI peripherals (#1 QNAP Single-Port 10GbE Network Expansion Card & #2 Blackmagic Design DeckLink Studio 4K Capture & Playback Card) are not...

Baffled... External Raid Array Not Mounting

I should add that I followed these instructions and settings to a T: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/z170x-ud5-th-high-sierra-tips-and-tricks.264351/ I even created my own SSDT-USB.aml using that guide.

Baffled... External Raid Array Not Mounting

Okay this is a weird one, ladies and gents... I have a 12tb External Drive (Raid 5 via Sans Digital TowerRAID) that I have used seamlessly with my Hackintosh for the duration of its life. Suddenly, it will no longer mount. I can confirm that it isn't failing as I've connected it without issue...

<< Solved >> NVIDIA Driver fails... and starting fresh.

I learned I still had OsxAptioFix2Drv-64 in my firmware drivers, which I have learned is out of date. Thanks to u/canyondust I was encouraged to remove that driver and add AptioMemoryFix. This solved my problem. Thank you for your help!

HALLELUJAH. This did the trick. THANK YOU. SO. MUCH!

Which BIOS for Kaby Lake GA-z170x-ud5 th build

Yeah, mods deleted that post... Thanks canyondust. I'm going to try adding AptioMemoryFix to see if that does the trick. I still have OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi in there which I have learned is out of date. Is it as simple as removing it from the drivers folder and adding AptioMemoryFix...

<< Solved >> NVIDIA Driver fails... and starting fresh.

Alright, I re-flashed my BIOS (same version f22g) and that seemed to clear my NVRAM. Able to boot to Windows 10 and Mac OS drives again. But now I'm back to square one... NVIDIA Web Driver will not work.

Which BIOS for Kaby Lake GA-z170x-ud5 th build

Came here as I'm now hitting a snag after updating to 22g. Think I should try downgrading? Do you mind sharing your BIOS settings? I can't boot anything off of 22g for some reason. :-( Here's my sob story: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/gigabyte-ga-z170x-ud5-th-not-working.286662/

<< Solved >> NVIDIA Driver fails... and starting fresh.

Hey I appreciate your help too. Any recommendations if the hardware appears not to have failed but I still can't get anything to boot? I am building a USB bootloader with High Sierra and Clover to see if I can even get a drive to boot through that... but do you have any recommendations for a...

<< Solved >> NVIDIA Driver fails... and starting fresh.

Okay, CMOS reset (manual on mobo) worked to get back to BIOS, but still hitting the same sequence... I've tried selecting the boot drive manually... I'm at a loss. Internal graphics, one drive, CMOS reset... nothing is working. Does it make sense to try to update the OS on the Mac Drive using a...

<< Solved >> NVIDIA Driver fails... and starting fresh.

Okay, I just tried that. Now BiOS isn't even showing up. I have tried no drives. I have tried my Windows 10 drive only. I have tried my Macintosh HD drive only. Now, what do I do?

"Reduce to minimum configuration to isolate the problem component." What does this mean?

<< Solved >> NVIDIA Driver fails... and starting fresh.

Hah. I'm not really sure where to begin. I restored BiOS settings to default. Clover won't even show up. I tried using the settings I originally had when I first built this puppy in '16, but that didn't work either. Would it make sense to just do a fresh install (or even update to High Sierra)?

Copy that. Yeah, able to enter BIOS setup. Loaded optimized defaults. Saved and exited. No dice. So what do I do now?

<< Solved >> NVIDIA Driver fails... and starting fresh.

Okay, I tried doing this by doing "Load Optimized Defaults". It has the same behavior and starts the vicious cycle. Do you mean to do a manual CMOS reset on the motherboard itself?

Thank you kindly for the thoughtful and thorough response. Yes, I believe I am on Sierra. Now some updated, bad news. I just got back from a long work trip. I haven't done anything since I posted this thread. Now when I try to boot up, it doesn't even get to the Clover screen. It cycles...
