nvidia-update - Simple way to install nVidia web drivers

Have you verified that the issue is with drivers and not the card itself? Test it out in Windows / Linux first.

Making NEC USB 3.0 Card Fully Comportable with Original MAC Drivers [CalDigit, LaCie, Oyen]

OK, so I might have been a bit hasty with my benchmarks last time. Just pulled the adapter from the drawer again to try it out. This time in an early-2011 17" MBP with a 1TB Corsair MX500 SSD. I tried the same "time cp" -routine with a ~5GB Windows XP VirtualBox image file as previously, but...

    FakePCIID: Broadcom BCM57XX network OOB

OK, after the latest 10.14.4 (18E226) the ethernet port started to magically work again with the same old kexts. I did have to update Clover though, otherwise it would hang on a gray screen at bootup.

    FakePCIID: Broadcom BCM57XX network OOB

On the same boat here. Asrock X79 Extreme6, I had ethernet working on 10.14.2 but rememeber having to do some voodoo to get it to work (can't remember exactly what!) After updating to 10.14.3 the same problem, no ethernet. I already tried to load UEFI defaults as suggested above but that didn't...

Immediate crash/reboot after "acpi sleep states s3 s4 s5" on x79 Asrock with 10.13 installer

The Asrock x79 boards are still alive and kicking. Decided after a long hiatus to finally upgrade and migrate from 10.12 to 10.14 and it worked beautifully. The only problem with these boards is not being able to UEFI boot from a hard drive, so I decided to sacrifice an old usb stick and install...

Making NEC USB 3.0 Card Fully Comportable with Original MAC Drivers [CalDigit, LaCie, Oyen]

I can confirm this, I have the exact same el-cheapo card and just installing the Rehabman kext made the plugged in flash drives discoverable on MacOS Mojave 10.14 18A391. Didn't even have to reboot, although I did put the card in and remove it a few times. Don't have a speedy usb3 device to test...

Immediate crash/reboot after "acpi sleep states s3 s4 s5" on x79 Asrock with 10.13 installer

Well, it seems all good things come to those who wait. I just booted up the MacOS Mojave public beta installer, and installing it now as we speak. I used the same exact kexts / SSDTs / config as with my old Sierra installation. OsxAptioFix was required, although I had it with Sierra as well. I...

nvidia-update - Simple way to install nVidia web drivers

I'm still running 10.12.6, updated today to 16G1504, no official Nvidia drivers out yet for this build. Tried downloading and installing the latest 387.10.10.10.35.106 as suggested by the script; installed without errors but doesn't load up, still running on kernel drivers. Tried manually...

Immediate crash/reboot after "acpi sleep states s3 s4 s5" on x79 Asrock with 10.13 installer

Well, no luck with the newest 10.13.3 installer as well, the same problem persists. Really, nobody else is using an Asrock x79 board except for us?

    AMD RX 580 - Disappointing performance (10.12.6)

Clock-for-clock your i7-7700 should be just a hair stronger, so CPU speed is irrelevant in this comparison. Heaven probably uses only 1 CPU core anyways. 632/940 points mean that RX580 is 33% slower, or in other words, the relic from 2013 (780ti) is 50% faster. Disgustingly poor performance...

    AMD RX 580 - Disappointing performance (10.12.6)

RX580 is not a shitty card by any means, it's just the drivers on macOS which let it down. In fact they let it down so badly that even an ancient 4 year old card beats it by at least a healthy 37% margin :( :( :( (688 points @RX580 vs. 940 points @780Ti, I have my CPU OC'd at 4.2GHz as well and...

How much of all the fixes that MultiBeast/Clover apply by deault are necessary?

Get Clover Configurator, make a backup of your working .plist, edit the main one and de-check all fixes, if you can boot ok then they are not necessary. For example I don't require any patches from the first page.

No solution. I tried every possible fix and way that I know/found.

Immediate crash/reboot after "acpi sleep states s3 s4 s5" on x79 Asrock with 10.13 installer

As per title, I cannot even get to the High Sierra installer no matter what I do. Running an Asrock X79 extreme6 motherboard with i7-3930k overclocked at 4200MHz. 8x4GB ddr3 sticks @2133MHz. I have a working 10.12.6 Sierra install on my Samsung Pro 840 SSD drive and I don't recall having this...

    AMD RX 580 - Disappointing performance (10.12.6)

So the Nvidia Web Drivers on 10.13.1 are newer than the ones on 10.12.6? I'll try High Sierra next week on a fresh new SSD, if I see no improvement I guess I'll try to find a 980ti before I start breaking $hit up.

    AMD RX 580 - Disappointing performance (10.12.6)

Well, I eventually sold both the RX 580 and the GTX 780 and bought a GTX 1070. Things went from bad to ****. Now I can't play Dying Light anymore, the game keeps crashing after just a few minutes. Still running Sierra 10.12.6 and latest Nvidia Web Drivers, ID iMac14,2. Benchmarks run great...

    AMD RX 580 - Disappointing performance (10.12.6)

The problem is probably with AMD. They probably couldn't be bothered less to develop proper drivers. I also went and bought a 8GB Radeon 580 to replace my aging sauna-stove Nvidia GTX 780 3GB. Ran them both through a couple of benchmarks and got (unfortunately) the same kind of results as above...
