To get everyone with this board on the same page, here are my install notes from when I had completed a successful Mavericks 10.9.4 install to this hardware.

This is all I installed from multibeast:
FakeSMC
Chimera 3.01
Basic Boot Options, and modified plist to my liking
Mac Pro 3,1
Realtek ALC892
Intel 9 series motherboard support
RealtekRTL81xx v.0.0.90
Trim for 10.9.4
You may need to go to BIOS and reset it to default, save and exit, reboot back to BIOS and uncheck VT-d, set SATA to AHCI.
If your using discreet GFX turn off onboard GFX.
Outside of over clocking my CPU and memory, this is how my board is setup. I just copied a 36gb ProRes file into Final Cut...
First, go back to default settings in BIOS, then reboot back into BIOS and untick VT-d and onboard GFX.
Next change SATA to AHCI.
Boot from your Unibeast thumb drive and delete the kexts you installed from Easybeast. Also delete everything in root/Extra
Run Multibeast again, this time, ONLY...
I think your making this to hard, I started with a new board and processor and had a fully function system within 2 hours. Now, having said that, your audio chip is different from mine and I still had to use the option in MB for 9 boards. I CCC'd the fresh install and plugged the SSD that I used...
Yes, i have a functioning system with 1 kernel flag, the only thing that I haven't bothered to fix is when it comes out of sleep with MagicMouse I lose audio.

I own mac bluray player and it works very well, they update regularly and it plays mkvs too, Cant comment on aurora as I've never used it. Right now they are the same price at $39.95. I have never seen a viable free...

Updated my Z77-M Pro from patched 1504->patched 1616 and no DSDT.
Noticed right away when booting that the delay at the apple logo was gone. My setup didn't even get to the spinner and BAM...working desktop...
Attached is a patched 10.8 ATI kext for your card. (didn't check audio)
I just use a passive DP->HDMI converter ($7US) to my 27'' display, I only run 1 with this setup and didn't need an active converter.
TIP: I like to keep as many kexts native as I can, makes for easy updating!
