I had this problem my self. Same as P1LGRIM, I don't remember the exact cause, but it was something with USB support in BIOS. It was something you had to disable.
For my part this happened after I updated CLOVER. It was not possible since I had updated my BIOS firmware, and I can't flash it...
Disabling the CSM works for me at clover boot menu and at boot (Apple logo), but after the progress bar finished I just get a black screen.

Just an update. WhateverGreen.kext (+ Lilu.kext) fixed my problem. I tried to follow the guide, tho Intel FB-Patcher kept crashing when pressing "Generate Patch". Anyway, without continuing with the guide I did a reboot, and changed my System Definition to iMac 17,1. And no black screen on boot...
Well, given that I've used Google and the search bar I'm impressed I haven't manage to find that the past hour. My bad tho.
Seems like it's a tad outdated since NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext not have been implemented in another package, but I'll try and see what I can do.
