Hi,
Good job with your laptop, i'll try to make an hotpatch out of the shutdown fix... Since i'm done with my ios programming class... it might take some time before i have the chance to play with my macOs installation again... I'll also try to fix my hdmi audio output at the same time aha
Is...
I got it rehabman!!!
i used the shutdown fix on this github https://github.com/Kaijun/Acer-V5-573g-DSDT
can't believe it worked... oh well, is there a way i can... do it hotpatch style?
Edit:
Also i can't believe this is working.. it's a shutdown fix for a complete different motherboard...
I saw it in your guide _PRW... But in your actual patch, you're adding a method somewhere.. And you are not doing it for the hotpatch.. So i assumed the method in your hotpatch guide wasnt for skylake/kabylake since in your maciasl patch, you're adding a method somewhere...
Edit..
I used your...
okay well.. i've started reading my preboot.log and disable thing that was not needed... and moving more thing to hotpatch..
So right now.. based on your hotpatch guide...
DSDT/Fixes provide fixed function ACPI patching. Each "Fix" can do a particular kind of patching that can be used instead...

thank you!
What?! I didnt manually change the timestamp... Whats wrong with it?! ><
I did update my post one minute later with the right clover folder (i had forgot to do once again the f2/f4 combo)

Since I have already applied Os Check fix on my dsdt, I have disabled OSID->XSID + _OSI->XOSI and removed SSDT-XOSI.aml
here's the new files
Franciss-MacBook-Air:~ francis$ kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
15 2 0xffffff7f82518000 0xa5000 0xa5000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform (6.1)...
I thought Os Check Fix did what SSDT-XOSI.aml did. So.. I guess I'm disabling the patch in my config.plist.
Still no shutdown. restart is working fine tho
here we go!
I had Os Check Fix as a patch in api/patched, I removed it.
I also disabled the port limit patch.
Here's what i used to patch my dsdt.
