Was related to a missing battery patch. This laptop requires a working battery to boot into macOS.
I have a repo on github with my (working) files, but it is discontinued. You could use it as a base for future endeavours.
Chilluminati91 - Matebook X Pro 2020
Thanks again! Indeed my battery was stuck at 100%, now it is working great with your latest files. Just need the Darwin If-Statement and its pretty much perfect. On another note: How did you open that view in maciasl? No idea what the "-l" option is or how to run it?!
@tmbt: did you try geni2c...
Thanks a ton @moh.96 , battery patch should work now. Still can not boot but I'm working on that.
How did you figure out the patches?
EDIT: Just checked your latest files. It boots but I have a lot of ECRD error messages as you have removed that part from the patch, right? Gonna try around a...
Could anyone help me out here? Matebook X Pro 2020 wont boot without patched battery, so after getting it to work
in my DSDT I want to transform it into a hotpatch. Did all the necessary stuff, but stuck at boot; this should be patch related. Would love to get rid of the skip and count part, but...
Comet and Ice Lake are completely different afaik. Ice Lake should be supported natively (as you mentioned because of the new MacBooks) but is not really well documented and figured out yet. Comet Lake works for the most part by just treating it as Coffee Lake.
Currently trying to patch the battery on my Huawei Matebook X Pro 2020 (i5-10210U).
I followed the guide but end up with a lot of "51037, 6126, syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_CLOSE_PAREN, expecting PARSEOP_EXP_INDEX_LEFT" errors.
This is one example of the code in question:
If ((Arg0 ==...
Currently trying to install Catalina on my Huawei Matebook X Pro 2020 (i5-10210U, 16gb, 512GB SSD).
I think this error is EC related but I simply can not find out what I am doing wrong exactly. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
EFI Folder, DSDT and Panic Screenshot attached.
That seems to be related to Clover. Someone on another forum had a working OpenCore config and could get through the installer without errors. Everyone doing it through Clover is running into the same errors.
Try to get a screenshot of the exact kernel panic moment, this info is of no use. Try to remove all patches under acpi/patched. If that doesn’t work it’s probably your SSD (optane) remove it and try to run the setup again.
Here you go, based on muhydeen's and TUNIN96's work. Probably need to remove the ACPI files on different machines.
While we wait for proper acceleration we should figure out the trackpads and audio.
For you guys who got the installer to run: Did you also face the error messages? If so, how did...
Got Catalina installed on a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14 (i5-1035g1) as well now.
Current Problems:
- Error during the last seconds of the setup
- Error during the second phase of the setup (both can be ignored, MacOS boots fine)
- VoodooI2C does not work currently
- No audio (alc287 if I’m not...
I am currently trying to update this build from High Sierra to Catalina:
I completely redid my EFI in order to get a clean start. Got everything running fine on High Sierra but as soon as I boot into the "Install macOS" volume after running the installer and rebooting I am stuck here. This is...
Woah, guess we wont see much interest from that side.
@noodles79 Thanks, not working here which is really weird. Gonna try OCQuirks with your efi later, currently hangs at + signs.
