I removed all kext patches that were for AppleHDA. I think there were 3. Who knows how long they have been there and exactly what they would do. I have not noticed any negative effects from removing them.
Thank you very much for the suggestion, but that did not fix it for me. I updated from 10.15.4 when my audio worked great :( After it did not work I noticed that I had some kext patches related to AppleHDA - I removed them and audio worked fine. I did not need the alcid=1 :)
Updated fine - EXCEPT NO AUDIO. Yes I did install the Apple ALC, Lilu and Whatevergreen updated kexts in the Clover/Other folder and they are not in either Extension folder. Tried going back to AppleALC version 1.4.8, but did not fix it either. Clover updated to 5118.
New 5111 Clover version has fixed my USB non-connection issues to my mouse and keyboard. Thank you for the update.
I also discovered that my HDMI and DVI ports on my RX 470 card connect fine up to the Clover boot screen, but are not connecting after Clover Boot screen. Both DisplayPorts on...
I already mapped my USB and created an active port Kext with Hackintool. Hence don't use USBInject All with it. Perhaps that is the problem. Not at my computer now, but I will have to try later.
5110m (and 5109) - No Mouse and Keyboard
I was excited to see an update already to Clover Configurator 5109, but unfortunately 5110 creates the same issue for me - no USB, mouse and keyboard have no power to them :(. Oh well - easy to switch back to my saved 5108 until a new version does not...
Nope - not yet. I am not sure anyone will visit here like they do the main Catalina 10.15.4 SE thread. I submitted a request there, but it was removed. I thought the removal was inconsistent because others have submitted similar issues in that thread. :(
Everything works for me after update except no audio. I did update AppleALC to version 1.4.8. Anyone have an idea of something I can try? BTW - I also lost USB power to mouse and keyboard after upgrading Clover to 5109. Changed it back to 5107 and it worked fine.
Thanks for posting, but it did not work for me.
1 - That works
2 - Your link did not work for me. I went to the Catalina 10.15.4 main tread and used the link there to download the Combo Installer.
3 - The first time there was a restart I got the NO (circle with / through it) symbol.
Glad it...
I have the same issue, "The bless tool was unable to set the current boot disk." However it still lets me boot up fine when I manually select the correct drive from the clover startup. As with other users the Boot Installer partition is still showing in the Clover startup. Anyone able to fix...
After I got it working once, it stopped working. Totally my fault. Somehow I swapped out WhateverGreen 1.3.4 with version 1.3.3. I am embarrassed to say that I spent hours trying to fix. Anyway, all of the tips here worked great for me.
You guessed it. Thanks so much. I removed the Apple ALC, Lili and Whatevergreen from the extension folder and it booted like a "Mac". BTW - what happened to the User Extension folder ~/library/extensions ? Is it no longer part of the OS? I can't find it.
I have that card. Watevergreen installer in Clover Kext folder. Added agdpmod=pikera into Cover Configurator Boot Arguments. Still will not show screen on boot unless I uncheck default when booting and check ATI. Any ideas?
I am a newbie with this Hackintosh stuff. Since I couldn't upgrade to Sierra with my Mid-2008 Mac Pro I decided to give this a try. Besides, it is a great retirement hobby. I want to thank all of contributors, without which I would have gotten nowhere. Anyway, I actually do have an answer...
Hi Ammulder - I am running ElCapitan 10.11.6 using SysDef 14-2. I want to switch to 17-1. This looks like a great guide. Thank you for all of the time you have put into it :) Are you planning on updating this guide to Sierra 10.12 anytime soon? I would like to make the switch to both OS X...
