Here are some benchmarks from my build. I use a 5820K and managed to overclock it to 4.3Ghz, it could do even more but I dialled it back a litte. I think the results look correct for this clock, anyone agree?

Yeah, maybe it is worth the "hassle" to use an Nvidia card. If this build works fine I plan to use it until Apple release their new Mac Pro.

@kgp Just want to say thank you. Following your instructions I got my X99 system up and running (right now at least). I had some initial issues when booting from the USB drive. But I think what solved the boot issue for me was to disable xcpm_cpuid_set_info. When I did that it booted just fine...

Just to let you know, I installed this and it works just fine for me at least. GTX 980 (EVGA OC, Reference design) and Yosemite 10.10.2 using iMac system definition (did not change to Mac Pro).

I am wondering the same thing. I got a GTX Titan and while it works okay I dont think OSX is utilizing the full performance of the card.

Ok I think I found the solution to my problem. Deleting the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext gave a huge performance boost. The stuttering is almost gone! :)

No one have any ideas? The performance is actually okay, but it stutters.

I have this build myself but I think the performance is a bit low. Geekbench gives me around 9 000 points. Any ideas on how I can get turbo - mode working? I installed without DSDT and have a GTX 680 card with 10.8.2. Everything else seems to work fine though!
