Hey there,
My hack ran great for quite a while now. Suddenly this morning it was off even though I didn‘t switch it off. Trying to switch it on again made it suddenly go out after only lighting the power LED for a second.
Luckily I had an identical PSU laying around. Switching it to a...
Err I just noticed this is not a mac OS issue at all. Seem to be something else. I've already tried changing the cables (cat 7 now) but it looks like I'm only getting 100 MBit/s sync in Windows too.
Updated the Bios to 3401 (January 2017) already but didn't change anything. Any hints regarding...
Hey there,
my Mainboard is an Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero Gaming and I'm using IntelMausiEthernet.kext in Version 2.20 which seems to be the latest (stable at least).
I only happen to see 100TX sync with my Ubiquiti unifi switch. Any idea what's going wrong? I already tried disabling auto...
Switching to 4k went well. Instantly worked after plugging in the mDP cable instead of the two DP. Looks like the cursor problem is gone now. Far away from ideal and not as sharp as 5k but definitely the best solution so far.
Thanks everyone for pulling that up!
Oh wow, I totally missed that thread.
I'm on a Dell UP2715K with GTX970 for around 9 months now and beeing annoyed by the ugly cursor bug. I just read in this thread that driving the display in 4k works well. I should really try that.
After updating my BIOS (ASUS Hero VIII) yesterday I'm...
Hey there,
updated my ASUS Maximus Hero VIII to Bios 3101 today which looks like it broke NVRAM support. I got the Nvidia Web Driver working again after loading EmuVariableUefi Driver (see this thread https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solving-nvidia-driver-install-loading-problems.161256/) and...
I can confirm NVRAM support broke after updating the ASUS Maximus Hero VIII to BIOS 3101 (was working on 2202). After installing the EmuVariableUefi Drivers from the linked thread above I managed to get the web driver back but currently couldn't manage to get 5k support again. currently stuck to...
Thanks for getting back on this. Sorry to hear that it didn't work. I wonder if our problem would be better handled with CUDA drivers. Looks like I have to wrap my head around all that stuff a bit more to see what Cuda exactly changes and which hardware is supported.
Hey there,
I'm on a GTX970 (exactly it's this one: EVGA 04G-P4-3975-KR NVIDIA GTX970 SuperSC ACX 2.0 3,2S) an on MacOS Sierra with a Dell UP2715K 5k display. While everything basically works good the mouse pointer bug that already was adressed on this forums quite some times drives me crazy...
Just wanted to push this thread up once again in hope anyone yet found a solution. It's really awful to still see these issues after two minor version releases of the OS and some gfx drivers updates.
The other day I had to do with screen recording and funnily noticed that the issue is totally...
Unfortunately not a single improvement for 5k users :/
- still have to switch of the display after booting to get it to show the desktop
- still the same mouse cursor issues in the left half of the screen.
It's annoying.
Hey there,
I've got this card from OSXWIfi http://www.osxwifi.com/adapters/apple-wifi-bt-4-0-card-to-pci-e-x1-adapter-for-pc-hackintosh
It contains the Apple Broadcom BCM94360CD card which works great on OSX. Also I managed to get Keyboard and Magic Trackpad Pro running on the Bios Level. Also...
Hey guys,
sorry for beeing so quiet for a while.
I haven't tried that workaround from @unklemac so far but I would have a hard time trying it. First of all I can't have the display on on boot as it would turn back into a reboot loop. I have to have the display off for booting and turn it on...
Yeah, now I know what you mean. Already noticed this in the past. It's annoying overall. Guess it is Nvidia Driver related then. Hope they'll get it fixed soon.
Oh, wow - I really didn't notice that this is somehow affiliated to the display split but it indeed is.
I don't have jumping and skipping but the weirdest problem besides the cursor changes is that the clicking point is offset and so It's a lot of guessing.
