still hoping for a solution here. Sleep worked perfectly for so long it should be possible to get it back. Has nobody else had this problem and solved it?
Sleep was working perfectly for me for over 10 months then stopped working. No changes had been made to the system, although I did lose a case fan a while back and did not replace it. The timing was not exact with the sleep issue or I would have noticed.
I tried to rebuild the disk...
You have to tell people what hardware you are running - motherboard, cpu, graphic card. Did you use a dsdt for your board with proper BIOS, did you use a SSDT etc.
Nobody can help you without knowing this info.
I think you may be on the right track with the SSDT.
Do a search on your processor and SSDT to see if people are using that. If you have a DSDT for your board I always go that route. See if Multi-Beast has a SSDT option for your processor.
You have a very different setup than me but your errors are very similar to where I was at a few days ago.
Do a search for your processor and SSDT to see if people are using that within MultiBeast 6.2 or newer. The SSDT was required for my Sandy Bridge and fixed all my CPUPowerManagement...
Do you know for sure which codec your motherboard uses? If it is 887 for instance then go into your Extensions or S/L/E folders and remove your HDAenabler or HDA88x kexts from there. Run MultiBeast version 6.2 and select just the audio driver. Use with DSDT if you used a DSDT file to set up...
Sound is now working thanks to toleda's help in the Audio forum.
My problem may have been using kextbeast to install the 889 kext rather than MultiBeast which rebuilds the dsdt and other files.
If you have everything working but sound try removing the HDA889enabler kext from both main...
That did the trick toledo. Thank you.
I knew you were just like my old girlfriend. Give me hell all the time but ultimately you deliver the goods that keep me coming back for more.
Appreciate the help.

You will not break me toledo. I may be dum but I am persistent.
If the attached files are still not what you need then i will need simpler instructions.
This is what was under Misc when I reopened DPCI manager:

I did no manipulation of Multibeast other than to select the ALC889 under With DSDT as instructions state. Did not remove any HDA or enabler files. Only thing I had to fiddle with was CPU Power Management before I found SSDT solution to boot.
Will try to upload the correct IOReg file for you.
Mavericks 10.9.2 fresh install, with UnibeastUSB and MBeast 6.2 using DSDT for latest BIOS, SSDT for i7 SandyBridge, and the ALC889 codec. Have System Deinition of MacMini 5.1 This codec works in my 10.6.8 setup on another drive.

In the audio forum there is a thread http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/112461-mavericks-no-audio-realtek-alc-applehda-guide.html
that goes through the testing of the No device problem.

I ran through the test steps for No Device and found my layout id was 79 03 00 00 instead of an approved code. But I am unsure as to what the next steps are with ALCInjection
Stork,
I did the re-install with KextBeast for the HDAenabler889 and used the KernelCache=no code above. Booted but still no sound, no output devices showing in SysPrefs.
I even used the kext from my other drive (same dates, etc) that was working there in case the other had a problem.
OK, so I did the Mac Mini 5,1 (No 5,2 in MB) install with i7 SSDT. Also did the KextBeast install of AppleACPIPlatform, it was the only one in the Extensions folder - not sure where ACPIButtons or ACPIEC are.
It BOOTS !!!
Only problem so far is no sound. System Prefs shows no...
Thanks Stork,
I just tried the SSDT with imac 12.2 (prior to reading your post)
It gave me errors during MB6.2
"Apple ACPIPlatform kernel installed improperly and cannot be used"
also for 3 other ACPI elements: ACPIButtons, ACPIEC and possibly one other.
When I tried to boot into...
