Pixel Clock Patch is what you need. I know it will enable 1440p via HDMI, but not sure about the Ultrawide 1440p. You'll have to try and find out. Take a look at this article/video: https://9to5mac.com/2016/06/04/how-to-enable-4k-60hz-resolution-2016-macbook/

Yeah, I have El Capitan now and everything is literally perfect with HD 530 and 1440p monitor via HDMI. I'm going to hold off on Sierra until things (hopefully) improve.
Wow, ok. Interesting as I thought that you needed the pixel clock patch to get over 1080p via HDMI. Obviously you got it working. Are there artifacts with the HD 530?
I have the same monitor and also running HD530. I'm still on El Cap, is this a brand new build (straight to Sierra) or did you have El Cap on it before? I used the Pixel Clock patch to get 1440p working but I am hearing it doesn't work on Sierra. Would love to know that is the case for sure...

Pretty sure you'll have to run the Pixel Clock patch to get that to work. Thats what I had to do to get my 1440p monitor to work via HDMI. It was easy and worked perfectly.
