New install of Mavericks 10.9.5 will not boot when Sata drives are plugged in
I have a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H with 16 GB Ram, booting from SSD. During installation, all Sata drives were unplugged. Post installation the system will not boot at all if any Sata HD are plugged in.
