Exactly my thoughts. When I first bought the Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro Wifi, it worked but not reliable enough to use the machine for work related tasks. I ended up returning it. I'm super happy with my Asus Prime Z370-A II, and I went with that one because it has Thunderbolt 3 Header so you can...

@pastrychef I think the "bug" is gone regarding the waking of my Hack. Maybe there was some kind of problem in the Logitech G Hub app or similar.
However now I found a new "bug". If I plug a few pendrives on my USB ports, when coming back from sleep I get the "Not ejected properly" message. I...
I'm using the SSDT + USBInjectAll.kext. I will try to create the USB map again just in case, and try again. I initially thought it was the bluetooth module but it doesn't seem like it. I will retest again the Mouse USB too, just in case there was some other third factor doing this. Thanks!
Before I tried with keyboard and mouse connected, and it was sleeping for a few minutes, then waking up and never going to sleep again
Then I literally disconnected everything now. First I tried with disabling bluetooth but was still happening. Then I tried by disconnecting the USB dongle for...
It seems it's because the iMac19,1 SMBIOS. It's not happening with either iMac18,3 or iMacPro1,1
What I'm unable to fix is the RTC Alarm, is waking my Hack and then not letting go to sleep again. I've tried turning off bluetooth and disconnecting all USB devices
I've started to get these runtime allocation errors, looks like it's because I moved a USB dongle for the mouse from USB2 ports to USB3... should be this normal and "fragile" or might not be related to this?. I thought these errors about NVRAM couldn't happen on Z370
Weird! Mine just speed up for a couple of second after sleep and then they will just stop too, unless I put stress on the GPU of course. This actually happened on a previous build I had with the MSI Vega 56 Turbo boost OC. They just speed up in the same way like when you turn on the pc from...
Yes I guess I will enable dark wake and problem solved!
Btw, aside from the “tick” the PSU does, don’t you get the GPU fans to speed up for a bit when waking or sleeping? I was able to control the case fans but the GPU... no luck. Was wondering if you maybe flashed a modified BIOS to avoid it...
I had originally those enabled, too, but I thought that might be the culprit of the wakes. I don’t mind it wakes to do Time Machine backup. AFAIK, this will do it the real Macs too.
What I don’t like is the display lighting up, but maybe now that I’m thinking about it is just a matter of using...
Hello @pastrychef, since you use sleep have you ever found yourself with the wake reason RTC XDCI Alarm? I've been researching over internet and I've found posts dating from several years ago and even on real macs with these kind of wakes.
Here's what the logs shows
~ % log show --style syslog...
Yes! that's exactly my use case too. I never turn off my iMac or MacBook Pro, I just let them sleep.
It's interesting because I own an Apple LED Cinema Display (DisplayPort), and it takes around 4-5 seconds to wake while the LG4k takes almost double that. I'm wondering if there's something...
@pastrychef do you sleep your computer? If yes, do you mind sharing how much does it takes the display to show image? I'm getting around 10 seconds while my 2013 iMac wakes from sleep in like 2 seconds and my Macbook Pro connected to the same display (LG 27UK850) takes around 5 seconds.
