Updated 2 days ago and everything worked perfectly all I had to do is a nvidia update once the restart happened it popped up and updated and all good also upgraded to a 980 ti without any issues just plug and play.

o ok good to know it has to be on boot up. I didn't try having it plugged in during boot and I did change it to legacy. If I have a adapter or extension plugged in and leave it will it then work without boot or maybe not?
