Hmm I think I'm just an idiot and I'm not sure how my audio broke actually. I found a change log online and it said there has only been one driver for 10.13.4 I was definitely on 10.13.4 and I thought I upgraded my drivers. I might just be going crazy...
Like I said above I'm not really sure...
Is there anyway to check what drivers you were running before updating? After installing the latest drivers my displayport audio didn't work. It's not a huge deal for me, because I have a sound system hooked up to my computer, but if I'm just listening to a podcast I feel like I'm wasting energy...
After a couple hours of trying things out, I got it to boot :) I'm not exactly sure what it was, I think it was a combination of a couple of factors. Thanks for the help! One last thing, which part of the NVDAStartup.kext are you changing from 16D to 16E? Thanks :)
I was feeling lucky and tried to update my hackintosh. I couldn't boot without a panic. I messed around with some things for a while, but decided it isn't worth it. The kexts in the backtrace seemed kinda random usually; IOSCSIarchitectureModelFamily, or IOAHCIBlockStorage, or some AirPort...
Quick easy question. I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU and I see a 390x is on sale. I run a x99 system so I have no IGPU. Will the 390x show graphics before the system boots, or just black screen until you are in Mac OS X, like some graphics cards I have read about. Thanks!
Update again, so I found out that I only get this error when I have my Windows drive plugged in, if I unplug it, it boots fine. I'm not really sure why, because I still can't find this kext anywhere. I'm probably going to just try and clone the drive and see what happens if I do a fresh install...
I spent all day doing a fresh install of 10.12.2 (which I wasn't even running before) and I still get this error when I log in. This is a completely fresh install, no trace of the genericnvme.kext ever being on this partition. The EFI bootloader just has the kexts I need. How is this possible...
So I tried to completely get rid of any trace of NVMeGeneric on my computer and Clover Kext folder. It doesn't exsit in any of the usual kext locations, but I still get this error when logging in. After troubleshooting it for hours I made a new user and found out that it doesn't give the Apple...
Hello! This panic started a while ago and at first I just ignored it, but it has been driving me crazy lately. I tried everything I could think of to fix it, but no luck. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. I originally thought it was an issue with the...
I just bought a used Gigabyte Windforce GTX 780. I have tried using the adgpfix.app and I have tried using the clover patch. I even tried doing the ssdt injection (I'm not sure if I set mine up right in this case though) I still get a black screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I already bought a new motherboard, but I'll be happy to return it when it gets here if this works. I'll check after work tonight! Thank you for the post!
I spent like 20 hours trying to get it to work this weekend and got no where. I'm honestly just going to craigslist this motherboard and put in the same motherboard I have in a similarly working setup. I decided it isn't worth all this effort and I don't want to constantly have an unstable system.
Hello everyone!
I started working on a new build for my sister to use as a design studio two days ago. I've basically got it, to what I would consider 95% complete. I have tried everything I can think of, but I just can't get this fixed.
So basically the problem is as follows; when I boot into...
Hey everyone I posted this on ****** awhile ago, but didn't get the assistance I needed. My build is working great, but I would like to get the most out of my memory as well. So when I try and overclock my memory to 3000mhz I get to PCI Configuration Begin and then it restarts.I tried searching...
