    About the update to Lion...

There aren't really new UNIX features. They have made some updates and modifications to the terminal app.

What with my travel schedule I haven't had a chance to test the 5670. I do have most everything working on the machine but was getting the occasional kernel panic. I am should be back from this current trip Friday. Hopefully after a couple of days unwinding I will be able to get back at it...

Sorry I have been traveling for the last week or so. And will be leaving again Monday. Right now I haven't maess3ed with the Snow Leopard load at all. My main computer is my MacBook Pro anyway. While I was gone I also had my 250GTS swapped out for a 6870 card., that won't work great for a...

One note, my system is much more usable with the legacy kernel 10.6.0. A lot of the mouse issues are resolved. But there is still a lot to do do have the system really where I want it.

Just a quick update. I have a system up and working. But I am seeing the same mouse and audio static problems that others have posted on the forum. As I have time over the weekend I am going to build up a couple of different drives with different install options. If I discover anything of...

    What am I doing wrong?

I have a couple more questions. Are you repairing your file permissions with multi beast? Also if you are able to boot into the drive after booting with iBoot, you can just take a deep breath. Your close to getting this to the next step.

    What am I doing wrong?

Looking at the manual for your board the Blue ones are the 3gb SATA2, so that is great. Actually I think on your board even the white SATA3 ports would probably work fine. Other boards have an additional SATA3 chip, and using ports on that might cause an issue.

    What am I doing wrong?

Ok, I hate to be picky. But I read this and got to thinking, wow that's a lot of systems. SO I had to do some calculations. Let's say you have been building computers for 25 years. For those 25 years let's just assume that you didn't build on weekends. That would give you 6,500 build days...

After a number of problems getting everything right I cheated. I put my hard drive in a USB carriage and installed SL using my Mac Book Pro. Then ran the 10.6.6 combo update. I restarted after that, installed BridgeHelper and MultiBeast, selecting only EasyBeast. I then installed the drive...

    SB 2500K/2600K Build(triple display): CS5, Gaming, AutoCAD

Just a note about the coolers. I am using a Corsair H50, not the H70. In testing the I5-2500K system under Windows 7 I was getting 32-35C running under load and 18-22C idle. This is somewhat anecdotal as I am considering playing a little World of Warcraft to under load. Either way I am more...

I was hoping to have something to report about the SL install this morning. I booted it up with iBoot-Legacy and went to switch to my SL install disk. No luck. I then looked at the back of the disk and saw that the back is all scratched up. I went to the Apple Store today and got a new copy...

The parts are in and the build went well. I will post about it as I have time over the next couple of days. Today I just bolted it together and installed Windows 7 to test the hardware before I start my SL install. I will be starting that either tomorrow or over the weekend as time permits.

I currently have this board ordered. I will be building towards the end of the week, and over the weekend. I will be posting updates as I go. My starting specs are listed below. I have built a couple of Hackintosh machines already. And have been lurking around TonyMac's site for a while...
