can confirm big sur loads fine (swapped out my rx 480 with the 6800) no additional changes, however no graphics acceleration so its quite laggy

Yeh ofcourse, i press f8 to boot from usb efi everytime Its a weird issue, looking at few other forums it seems like its something to do with slide value and some memory thing. However im not that advanced to figure it out.

using the efi you have provided i cna boot initially into the installer, select my ssd as the install location however after it copies all. the files it restarts upon restarting when i choose to go into the installer to complete the process i get the kernel panic screen can load catalina fine...

I tried your efi (i have a z390-f but its close enough) was able to boot into installer and copy the files successfuly, however upon reboot and when i select big sur installer (form the copied hdd, not usb i get a kernel panic.

able to enter big sur installer via this efi and it copies the install files however after reboot trying to complete the install (via either data-preeboot or install big sur voluimes) I get stuck on this screen. This efi is being used to run catalina with no issues.

I created a big big sur install usb system is 9900kf, z390f mobo, i also have a bcm94360cd wifi card which i know might be cause of some issue? getting this error after it copies files and restarts.

i find the apple update procedure tends to break more easily and harder to recover from but congrtas on getting to the desktop, always feels good after spending hours of effort.

yeh just for your catalina install usb, use my efi (make sure its actually in the usb's efi partition) and boot from it

in your installer, use my efi and see if you can get setup to complete, i have pretty similar build, once you get it booted then you can fine tune it.

that screenshot i was booted with open core, but i have both clover and oc efi ready and can use clover instead. in my bios its latest version (1401) and there is no option for iGPU anywhere im guessing cause i have the kf no my undrstanding is not to use shiki boot arguments with lilu and weg?
