NVMe Power management support - APST

Thanks for the tip with iStat! Are you dropping below 10W then? Otherwise I am getting to very close values (10,2W with low brightness and Bluetooth off).

NVMe Power management support - APST

Hi Velaar! How do you measure the power drain? I'm on a T480s and experience a similar behavior (battery life on macOS = 1/3 from what I get on Windows 10 thus 3:20h vs. 11hrs)

    Success - macOS 10.14 on ThinkPad T480s

This should be working out of the box, (at least I had no problems using any of the repos from linusyang92/kk1987) From my experiences it is around 4 hours with macOS (feels like full power, Intel Power Gadget indicates that the CPU drops as low as 0.8GHz - but way less frequent than while...

    Lenovo T480S - TB3 eGPU (AMD RX580) detection

I temporarily fixed it for my needs using a workaround / script, that just mounts the EFI folder, copies the Hotplug-patch from the folder to my Desktop and reboots - that makes my eGPU working (However, it's still as described - hotplug won't work in that mode - eGPU mounted as "internal" GPU...

[In progress] SSDT for Thunderbolt 3 Hotplug

I am currently trying to get TB3 hotplug working on my T480S (ioreg files comparing between my T480S with and without TB3-patch to my MacBook Pro 2017 with eGPU connected is attached to this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/lenovo-t480s-tb3-egpu-amd-rx580-detection.272391/post-1915926...

    Lenovo T480S - TB3 eGPU (AMD RX580) detection

@yypyypyyp hi Linus! Thanks for your reply! Yea, the USB-C works just fine - as well the hot-plugging is very reliable - good job! However, I actually realised that I need to tell Clover in the config file to load the TB3.aml - so I assumed Thunderbolt works only with TB3.aml and THBT.aml...

    Success - macOS 10.14 on ThinkPad T480s

Update: I created a thread for that concern here, hoping we can find the weak spot together https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/lenovo-t480s-tb3-egpu-amd-rx580-detection.272391/

    Success - macOS 10.14 on ThinkPad T480s

Coming from a MacBook, I perceived the fan noise under Windows as loud as well . However, with macOS the fan behaves more silent from what I perceive . Please find the benchmarks in the attachments.

    Lenovo T480S - TB3 eGPU (AMD RX580) detection

Hi Folks, following scenario: My hardware is as follows: T480s + HP Omen Accelerator (AMD RX580) I already tried different patches (THBT.aml from T480S repo and TB3.aml from this thread.) without TB-3 or THBT.aml injected, the eGPU is detected when connected before boot, spins up and works...

    Success - macOS 10.14 on ThinkPad T480s

Hi folks, just reverted to 10.14.2 as I read about 10.14.3 broke TB3-hotplug. However it ended up in the same situation. The GPU works like charm when plugged in during boot and the laptop crashes seconds after the TB3 cable was pulled. The only stable way right now is to use both the TB-3.aml...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

That's what I observed as well with my T480S - I was wondering whether it worked with 10.14.2? https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/macos-10-14-3-supplemental-update-broke-thunderbolt-hot-swap.271720/post-1910669

macOS 10.14.3 Supplemental Update Broke Thunderbolt Hot Swap

I also made the following observations with my setup: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-macos-10-14-on-thinkpad-t480s.261318/post-1909488 However, I already started with 10.14.3 - so I have no evidence, if it worked with earlier versions. Best, Phil

    Success - macOS 10.14 on ThinkPad T480s

Hi, thank you for this repository/thread ! Everything went fine so far. However, I am still struggling with my TB3 devices (HP Omen Accelerator) - it starts spinning, but is not detected by macOS. In System Information it says: "Thunderbolt: No drivers are loaded." Tried with both settings...

    [Guide] Lenovo X250

Hi ! I just wanted to ask, whether the X250 works flawlessly on Sierra/High Sierra. I'm currently running Sierra on a X230 and In the need of a bit more power and space I got me one of the new MacBooks Pros last week for a really good deal. Unfortunately I'm not really convinced by the fact...

Rebranding the Atheros 928x cards - The guide

Well this was not the main problem as I have the AR9280 (168c:002a). However, it is all working now (I think it suddenly worked when I changed the eeprom range to 0 to 3256 instead of 0 to 512. But no guarantee/recommendation here - just tried it several times with 0 to 512 range and as it...

Rebranding the Atheros 928x cards - The guide

Hi there! So I got myself a Lenovo X230 with integrated mPCIe Intel WiFi and ordered an Atheros AR9280 card. As I realized the whitelist-Problem, I followed this guide which is intended for AR9285 and describes how to rebrand AR9285 to Intel in favor of bypassing the whitelist...

    Sierra+GTX960+WebDriver+NvidiaWeb: True_But Failed

My monitor even ran in sleep mode, when I changed the sys definition to iMac14,1 and rebooted afterwards. Tried booting in verbose mode then and it worked like charm. Do Sierra + GTX960 actually work in verbose mode ? Otherwise I don't know what to do. best, Phil
