I got everything working! Does anyone know if it is possible to grab the 6800 drivers and inject them into older versions of MacOS? I have software that works best on Mojave at the moment.
Agreed, this thread is getting hard to follow. My 6800xt is coming tomorrow so I am hoping for good news soon on driver updates. However, if all else fails I have a GTX 780 that is metal-supported so I can always use that.
I am having the same problem! Also, the audio doesn't seem to be as loud as in Windows. I did fix this using a different kext (AppleHDA), but I cannot figure out why using AppleALC.kext + Lilu.kext won't work.
Looking at an update from a guide I followed (did not work for me):
Updating from...
I looked around online for a little bit and found someone with a similar issue on their laptop. In the thread the solution was to
1) copy AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext and AppleIntelSNBGraphics.kext to desktop.
2) Modify info.plist inside these two kexts to add 0x01268086 id (I would change...
I've tried everything excluding the backlight control is it just a kext I need to add to my /other folder?
When I plug it into my monitor my monitor goes black and then my computer display goes blue.
The normal boot has two different outcomes, black screen or white screen with the same text. as...
I switched my boot from quick to diagnostic. Disabled all of the anti-theft stuff and enabled Intel VT-x but the same thing happens. The last prompt is gIOLockScreenState before going into a black screen. There is also a preboot log in misc. I'm starting to wonder if there is something within...
The output showed the same result, however, it lost signal to the external and made my laptop screen green. This still doesn't make sense to me since I have the same connection type as the MacBook, so it probably has something to do with the graphics. Is there any device-ids I should try opposed...
My issue right now is I cannot seem to boot without using a fake device-id. I have injected the EDID since clover didn't detect is based on what the preboot.log said. Whenever I try booting without the fake device-id (put #deivce-id at least) it either get's goes into a black screen or goes into...
I did everything in the FAQ post. The terminal output (wasn't sure what format wanted so I copied and pasted the terminal to a txt document called "terminal output.txt" it is within EFI/Clover). The folder outputted by patchmatic is also in EFI/Clover and there is also a bootlog in the misc...
I used a 2010 iMac and created the installer with it using the guide (which I have to say is way better than Unibeast of constantly having to mount EFI). I also have a desktop Hackintosh that I can make edits on. Also, how do I properly gather the ioreg, I tried following the FAQ but I couldn't...
Changes were made in the config in "config.plist/Graphics/EDID/Custom" and I attempted to add EDID (could be improper) in the directory you mentioned.
This is what I pasted into it but it changed but that could be from formatting or how clover needs to read it (no I didn't past RAW EDID into...
The connector type is LVDS and the device type is LFP. In BIOS I do not see the CSM at all (I've checked everywhere but isn't it suppose to be under the boot tab? Also how I injected the EDID was proper?
I found where the EDID was and saved the device config as a text. I put it in the config (not sure if proper) and it resulted in a white screen. In the efi folder there is a txt file called "Device Info.txt" that has all the info from Intel Control Panel as well.
Oh I misenterpreted that I was suppost to remove the #. I thought you wanted me to remove it. I will try again and if it doesn't work I reupload my EFI folder again. Does the # disable the key and if it needs to be enabled you remove it?
