Hi, just wanted to followup here. I managed to run with Catalina successfully for the last few months. I decided to have a go to push it to Monterey or Ventura and finally completed that today after a few days of late night farting around.
It wasn't happening with the config plist I already had...
I rebooted at the point I see the installer.
I've now tried to boot from a separate USB drive and it let me choose my main drive but after attempting to boot it shuts down and says preventing further asp upcalls.
I just restarted my computer and on shutdown it said something about "Taking a minute.." like it was installing something.
On reboot, it seemed to take quite a while on black screen before it suddenly entered what looked like an OS upgrade screen but the language was in spanish.
I rebooted and...
Ha thanks!
Yeah I try, it's my main machine and I'm just trying to make sure it's stable and avoid paying $$$$ for a real mac.
I've been getting so many prompts to move off High Sierra and quite a lot of software won't even install any more.
So as I've got USBPorts.kext so I'll remove the...
Ok, so I've given that a go.
I first used the DSDT.aml file that I had already generated using SysReport. I fed that into SSDTime and generated
SSDT-EC.aml SSDT-HPET.aml SSDT-PLUG.aml SSDT-USBX.aml patches_Clover.plist
SSDT-EC.dsl SSDT-HPET.dsl...
Hey, thanks.
At the moment, nothing is connected to USB except for keyboard/mouse. (only non-essential item is pci soundcard listed below)
I didn't create my own SSDTs, I used the pre-built ones from...
Hi,
Given current USBPorts config and the fact it's still rebooting after shutdown with or without the bluetooth adapter what would you recommend trying next?
Thanks!
That 4port usb2.1 hub is an external usb hub I had connected briefly today while I was doing a video call as it has my camera connected to it.
sorry for confusion
The internal hubs appear to be the HS11 and HS13 since they are always listed as HSB2.0 hub no matter what is connected.
If I add...
Hi, thats interesting!
Right, so this evening I've removed the Shutdownfix,
I put the Belkin in the first USB2/3 front port HS10 set it to Internal and disable SS10. as pic below
I also removed all other USB ports.
Unfortunately it still didnt shutdown properly. sometimes the screen is going...
Hi!
Ok i'll add ITE one back and try that.
Sorry I should have said - the Keyboard and mouse and Apple wireless and connected to a Beklin bluetooth adapter that sits in one of the front usb ports.
Right, yes, that's what I had concluded too. I thought I would play it safe and remove as much...
Hi!
Thanks for helping. Ok, I'll add that ITE port back.
Sorry I should have said - I'm using Apple Magic mouse and keyboard with a Belkin Bluetooth adapter in one of the front USB 2 ports. (it doesn't like the USB 3 ones).
I've also tried the instructions here...
ok I've put it back to USB3 - I think having as USB2 caused mouse slowness which seems to have resolved putting it back to USB3.
Shutdown is still hanging though and now I only have 10 usb ports configured.
Any ideas?
ok i've whittled it down to just this for now.
I've also removed darkwake=0 and it didn't seem to change anything.
It's still not shutting down properly - It typically closes applications, then sits on the background for about 60seconds, then it goes black and sometimes it reboots (with...
Just double checking the USB Slots again.
Yes HS11,13 are usb2 only ( 2 front panel and 4 rear panel hubs I think). They say USB2.0 hub with nothing plugged in
I don't know what that 12 is. It says ITE Device(8595) with nothing plugged in.
Should I change the connector field from USB3 ->...
Ah nice. That seems to have improved things.
It now boots quicker and shutdown ran the shutdown process but then it restarted automatically. After the restart, USB seemed broken - wireless keyboard/mouse not working - this is something I used to have on previous High Sierra build.
This is my...
