Yes, I bought a EX3 card and tried setting it up. However, it was only detected as a USB port. All my USB C non-thunderbolt devices worked. I could never get it to work as a ThunderBolt3 port. It may just be a bad card or I didn't try everything because I got frustrated and sort of gave up.
Same here. Everything worked smoothly. Just fyi for anyone who is seeing a message that
“Macintosh” contains files on the root of the volume. If you continue installation, these files will be deleted.
I went ahead and installed the update. Nothing was deleted on Macintosh-Data volume.
It happened to me once in high sierra update. Clover got corrupted somehow. I had to then boot using the usb. After that, clover installer was not installing in the efi partition on my apfs drive. Instead it was creating efi folders in /Macintosh. So to resolve it, I simply mounted the efi using...
I changed from iMac 18 and currently running iMac Pro 1,1
When I upgraded to Mojave Beta 1, I also upgraded to 8700K. As part of that process, I changed the SMBIOS to iMac Pro. However, I used the stock settings from clover and did not change the BIOS version or anything of that sort as...
The setup steps were identical to installing High Sierra. I also changed my smbios to imac pro but only to test vega on beta 1-3 when issues were not fixed. I thought may be that would help. It did NOT change anything in beta 1-3. But in beta 4, everything was magically resolved and the card...
It may not be helpful for everyone but I have upgraded my system to Mojave Beta 4 and all the problems with FCPX and in general with “Vega” are now resolved. The fan speed issue is fixed, the problem with a metal thread consuming cpu cycles (like the leds used to blink red all the time) H.264...
For me the problem was more prominent. It would log me out (As if the gpu was unplugged) or simply show me a white/black/grey screen after using for sometime. As photos is always running, i m sure its using my gpu to convert videos n photos while uploading to icloud. Heaven and Valley were also...
@unklemac if you are still facing problems with Vega 64 fan speed and heating, give this fix a shot. Although I am now using a water block for Vega and don't have fan problems, my GPU does cause restarts when playing games or sometimes while using Ableton Live because its getting overloaded even...
It was my first custom loop. It was not hard but I had a little bit of trouble taking the vega case off because the screw was stripped. Otherwise, it was super simple.
Hi
I recently moded my vega with a custom loop using water block by EK. I used their aluminum kit. No more fan issue for me but you are right, there isn’t a solution for stock cooler yet.
Update
I have the second ethernet card I211 working with this kext. I still need the Mausi kext for I219V although I have read multiple times that that card is now natively supported.
Weird, I just re-uploaded my photos lib of about 60,000 photos and 1500 videos. It all went smoothly.
The only time my system is freezing is when I use safari. Its terribly sluggish and gives be a gray and white screen on two monitors before freezing the system.
No solution for fans yet.
I now have a working Handoff and hotspot with this card.
I had to apply the hand off patch by Rehabman.
No more BRCM injectors or anything. Just works OOB like Vega (pun intended)

Update
If you have the same MoBo as mine
I created a custom SSDT to remove the USB port limit. Previously, I was using a kext patch. Make sure you update the USBInjectAll kext
Thanks, I just ordered one. The last thing that is bothering me is that many times, when the computer goes to sleep and wakes up, the USB devices get disconnected including the mouse and the keyboard. Any idea?
Do you have the logs? You can find them by coonecting your usb drive to clover configurator. Or if your OS is already installed and you are upgrading then you can use the UEFI shell to access and copy logs.
