[Guide] HP Elite X2 1012 G1 / G2, Clover UEFI, VirtualSMC, Hot Patch

Has anyone been able to get sleep working? I can get it to work if I do: But that's like hammering a screw into the wall. It breaks Find My Mac, iMessage/Facetime wake on sleep, and other network services that would otherwise run during sleep. (This is for the HP Elite X2 1012 G2 btw)

I made these changes in EFI3 as well as introduced a fix for sleep. P.S. The content moderation on this site is CRAZY. They keep deleting my posts :silent:

I also had to replace BrcmFirmwareRepo and BrcmPatchRAM2 with BrcmFirmwareData and BrcmPatchRAM3 to get working. This is for BCM4352 WiFi card owners.

    Deleting my threads..

Thanks for your kind and helpful reply. That tool I mentioned required way fewer steps. Also, glibmacOS didn't have MacOS 11.1 when I tried it. If that's the problem I'll remove it from the thread I was trying to post then.

    Deleting my threads..

Why does this forum keep deleting my threads?? Every time I try to post a guide for a laptop (that I have working at least 80-90%) my thread gets deleted. It would be nice if I could ACTUALLY post a guide.. thank you. Please note, I read and follow the rules. At the very least, can a moderator...

    [GUIDE] Lenovo Yoga 920

I got trackpad + touchscreen working with full gesture support. Basically, I just followed this guide. Not sure if we needed one for SHUB, but I created TPLX, TPDX, and SHUX with all necessary patches and disabled the original ones defined in the DSDT. This is all done in SSDT-I2C.aml. This way...

Sorry, I just realized I have been uploading these EFIs without HfsPlus.efi, so the installer would not boot for those looking to install this. Here's a fixed EFI that will work with booting the installer from an HFS+ partition, that I can confirm boots.

    [GUIDE] Lenovo Yoga 920

I am struggling with getting I2C (trackpad and touchscreen) working. I understand ACPI TgtBridge patches don't translate from Clover to OpenCore very well, so I think we will need a better patch. I'm not even sure where to begin with this--nor am I positive that I have everything else setup...

No problem. Here's another update. I got audio, USB, and power management working. Naturally, there are optimizations to be made still, but I'm focusing on getting all main hardware working first. You may need to rerun SSDTTime and regenerate SSDT-HPET.aml, but I kind of doubt it.

I got full hardware acceleration working. VP9-based YouTube at 4k60FPS with HDR looks great! Although idk if HDR is actually working yet and unfortunately only 48hz is supported on high resolutions now due to an issue with lilu. THIS is like my main reason for upgrading to Big Sur.

[Solved] Unable to get QE/CI (hardware acceleration) working on Lenovo Yoga 920 (OpenCore 6.3)

How can I mark this solved? I realized that I needed a few patches for my screen--seeing as it is 4K. Also I used: I found these in this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-dell-xps-9560-big-sur-opencore.307163/ Here's my EFI for anyone else who wants it.

For sure. Please check out that link I provided. My second post has my latest, most successful EFI with OC so far. I'm probably going to work on it some more later today. Let's keep each other updated if we make further progress. (Again for reference)...

[Solved] Unable to get QE/CI (hardware acceleration) working on Lenovo Yoga 920 (OpenCore 6.3)

To answer your question, yes--mostly. I had to play around with the SSDTs. I haven't had luck booting with SSDT-AWAC/RTC0, as described in the Coffee Lake guide. Looking at the SSDT platform chart is a bit confusing as our laptops technically, perhaps, fall more under the Kaby Lake platform than...

[Solved] Unable to get QE/CI (hardware acceleration) working on Lenovo Yoga 920 (OpenCore 6.3)

Thanks. I already did, but I believe I had a kernel parameter that may have been interfering here. I have been able to get the appropriate SMBIOS to load now. Still unable to get hardware acceleration working though.

I'm working on it. I have the laptop booting with OpenCore and Big Sur 11.1. Currently stuck on QE/CI. I started a thread for help getting this working. Sent from Yoga 920 running Big Sur 11.1

[Solved] Unable to get QE/CI (hardware acceleration) working on Lenovo Yoga 920 (OpenCore 6.3)

As the title suggests, I am unable to get the GPU detected in Big Sur 11.1. I have tried basically every combination of APPL,ig-platform-id and device-id configurations listed in: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/config-laptop.plist/kaby-lake.html#deviceproperties As well as...

Does iMessage/FaceTime work for anybody? It appears to sign in but it doesn't let me send messages to anyone, nor does it show received messages--it only messages I sent from other Apple devices.
