Hi guys,
I have a Sierra hack with a Fusion Drive, and I'd like to upgrade it to High Sierra 10.13.4 directly using the latest installer.
Is it safe to say that with Clover 4439, the upgrade should just work by running the installer without any particular tweak ?
My Boot OS X is currently on...
I have a Sierra Fusion Drive setup and would like to direct upgrade to High Sierra without wiping everything.
Will that work, or will there be the same issue with the Recovery partition as with a fresh install ?
Thanks
Hi,
I have a Z97 build (Asus Gryphon Z97 Armor), with Thunderbolt , Nvidia GTX 750 and a Fusion Drive.
It's been running Sierra happily so far (except : I can't be bothered to find the right layout for built-in audio + make all USB ports work + it sometimes freezes/reboots when waking from...
I had the same problem with a GTX 970 after the 10.12.6 security update.
Updated to the latest web + CUDA driver... still stuck at 1080p resolution.
I saw the suggestions above regarding nvda_drv etc, and since I was on an old version of Clover (39xx) I updated to the latest one.
Now stuck in...
I have asked this already a few months ago, but the request has been closed without an explanation
Currently Multibeast installs files to /EFI. With Fusion Drive setups, this will have no effect as EFI files are actually on a separate EFI partition.

Each time I make a change in Multibeast, I have to manually mount the EFI partitions on each device and copy /EFI to that. I also always forget...
Same problem here (using the Asus Thunderbolt EX add-on card).
I use the OWC Thunderbolt Dock which provides USB / FW / Ethernet etc.
The problem isn't really that the Dock as a TB device isn't hot-pluggable.
More inconvenient is that anything (FW / USB) plugged into the dock isn't hot...
Right, main issue solved... (not even being able to boot from the flash drive).
It turns out I needed nv_disable=1, duh :)
Unfortunately once I had access to diskutil, it turned out I couldn't revert encryption on the volume : "Revertible: no", maybe because the encryption process was still in...
Hi there,
I've just built my first hack last night : Asus Z97 + i7 4790k + Thunderbolt EX II + "OSXWifi" BT+Wifi + Nvidia GTX 750 + SSD + HDD
All was going relatively well (it just took me some time to install Windows to enable the Thunderbolt card, then after I installed the NVidia web...
Thanks for the reply,
I kept reading after my post, and it looks like Skylake performance isn't exactly night & day compared to a 4790K. So I'll guess I'll stick to Z97 for now if that makes things easier.
What about Thunderbolt on Z97 though ? Will I always need an extra card like with that...
Hi,
I'd like to build my first Hackintosh and I have a few questions.
Context
It's mostly for music production (Logic / Ableton) & photo processing (Lightroom).
My current setup is a 2015 Macbook Pro 13" i7 3.1Ghz, which I use at home in clamshell mode plugged into an OWC Thunderbolt Dock +...
