Hi @kgp
B1.) ASUS Mainboard BIOS Firmware Patching
B.1.1) CPU Microcode Update
I have a gigabyte board X99P-SLI, not sure if it's the same for all Gigabyte boards but i followed your steps, everything loaded in the UBU microcode update but still wouldn't update the bios on my board saying...
Not sure I had a backup install with Carbon Copy Cloner 10.13.4, I copied over the old backup and then followed the steps to upgrade to 10.13.5. I have to do some more testing but it definitely ramps up to 4Ghz on a 6800K, not sure how far it should come down, I think I might need to find some...
I've downgraded my install to 10.13.5 waiting on a fix for OC, hopefully it comes with Mojave. System is running well with your guide @kgp. I've made a DDST now, Haven't quite worked out the USB SSDT, I'll work on this next. thanks!
I didn’t read it in your post, sorry must of missed that. What’s the reason for no overclock KGP? Is there a chance it might return with 10.13.7? If it is final release?
And is Overclock back on Mojave betas (I haven’t even started looking at those threads)
Not yet, I’m excited about @kgp s work with the latest guide, but I have a solid system at the moment and don’t want to throw the baby out with the bath water as of yet. Looking for a minimal way to change the setup. I’d need at least a weekend to digest the changes.
Great work @kgp by the way!
Possibly... Oh well, I’ve started reinstalling windows. It’s such a pain. You have to unplug all of the drives or it won’t even start the install process. Anyway off topic!
I don't think so @kgp, it's possible, but how would two users do the exact same mistake? The chances are very slim i would think! Clover is on the EFI partition of the MacOS system drive, of course, otherwise I wouldn't be able to boot! Also if I managed to put it on the Windows partition...
Prett sure I’m going to have to make another Windows USB stick and repair the drive, this time, i’ll Unplug everything Mac related. @kgp you might want to add a warning on the first page!
Hey, thanks for the guide once again. I've Updated my X99 10.12.6 to 10.13.4. One problem, and it’s a big one, I cannot access my Windows SSD anymore. I can’t open it’s EFI any which way I try. It doesn’t show up in my BIOS (delete or F12). No way to access via Clover screen. Some how, during...
