[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Well, if you ask me... the reason things really optimised for the OS/hardware fly is because they can control every in and out of the system. Same for stability, security, etc. I don't believe there is an "easy" solution to this, and you know where Nvidia stands regarding all this, they have...

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Yes sorry you are right, it's supposed to be in the 11.3 betas... I got a little bit too excited. I'm not sure this is going to be the last support we will see on MacOS, I work in high-end post-production and audio-visuals and certainly the M1 from a processor standpoint is more than enough and...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hey @CaseySJ I'm using the same motherboard as @gabevf what is the difference in the SSDT you shared and why the renames need to be turned off ? Genuinely curious to know if this could improve TB stability on this motherboard. Thank you for your hard work.

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Thanks for your reply @CaseySJ I suspected this would be the case, would this be the same with a PCI card or not ? is it intrinsic to the chipset itself ?

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Dear @CaseySJ Sorry for having taken so long but was burried under work for a project and couldn't afford testing and compromise the rig. So my experience is the following : 1) I add the SSDT that I snatched from your post for the Designare EX x299. 2) Reboot once : Everything appears under...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

@CaseySJ thank you for replying, really appreciated. Please find attached two extracted DSDT's and two IORegs, one when things work as they should and the other when they don't. Using the TBH3 SSDT of course doesn't give me hotplug BUT on the other hand is "reliable", in the sense that every...

Hey @CaseySJ, I've been running a Gigabyte Designare EX x299 for some time and pretty stable but never got hotplug to work. Searching about the topic I stumbled on this post which was a godsend so I started experimenting with the AML you provided there for this motherboard. I'm somewhat puzzled...

    X299 Big Sur Support

Buried in some other threads I found a SSDT that not only enables hotplug but also show the full tree under the thunderbolt tab in the system report... Problem is, it's pretty unstable, sometimes it loads sometimes it doesn't... why ? god only know hahaha I have a new concern now, 11.2.2 was...

    X299 Big Sur Support

I've been searching the web for that with different combinations and nothing really related to my mobo, found a link but they sell the EFI folder for 49 bucks... I've also read a lot about how to do it, etc. I'm just lacking a USB-C device to be able to map properly those ports and some things...
