    Can't Boot from hard drive

Have you tried installing Easybeast in Multibeast? If that doesn't work, try installing Chimera bootloader and NullCPUPowerManagement.

how to make sure you got a good-trustworthy backup?

An easier way would be to use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your hard disk onto a separate partition, instead of into a DMG file. This way, when you mess up, you can just boot into your other partition, and overwrite the messed up partition with Carbon Copy Cloner. Takes less than 30 minutes in...

    Cannot boot Mac

Try checking out this triple-booting guide from Lifehacker. It looks like you might have to set your Mac OS X partition as active again.

success with 10.7.3, KP's after alternate ALC888 kext:(

The first screenshot says that there's a problem with FakeSMC, which is a kext that's required for Hackintoshes to boot. I'm not sure there's anything you can do to fix that from Terminal. Burn rBoot onto a CD and try booting your Hackintosh with that.

success with 10.7.3, KP's after alternate ALC888 kext:(

When you boot into Terminal, try deleting the audio kexts instead of renaming them. Also, if you installed Mac OS X Lion with Unibeast, try booting into your system with your Unibeast USB drive. Then, you can delete the kexts that you installed.

Neat, I never knew that. In that case, why does tony's Customac Mini guide even bother to set VRAM in the BIOS?

    Fully enable intel gma x3100

    Intel GMA isn't natively supported by Mac OS X, so it's a bit of a crapshoot. Have you tried these drivers yet? http://www.osx86.net/view/1148-x3100_64 ... _lion.html http://www.osx86.net/notebooks/11513-li ... rfect.html http://www.osx86.net/view/2273-intel_gma_x3100.html

    I'm hoping someone can help

You're supposed to rename the DSDT file to "DSDT.aml" (without quotation marks) when you put it on the desktop. Then, run UserDSDT. See if this fixes your boot problem. If not, you may want to refer to this guide: http://www.mymac4music.com/2011/10/boot0-error/

    GA-Z77-DS3H, 2600k, Sleep failure code 0x00000000 0x19006700

Easybeast installs NullCPUPowerManagement, which breaks sleep mode. However, for some Hackintoshes, this kext is required for Mac OS X to boot. Try installing this instead. It does the same thing as NullCPUPowerManagement, but it doesn't break sleep. However, it's version-specific, so you have...

cant get 10.6.3 snow leopard to pass loading screen

Unfortunately, Mac OS X doesn't support Ivy Bridge processors. Tonymacx86 released Bridge Helper to allow people to boot into the Mac OS X installer, but it only works for Mac OS X Lion (as far as I know). As you can see by this Ivy Bridge installation guide, you have to own an existing Mac or...

Run MultiBeast through Terminal? possible ?

According to the description in Multibeast: EasyBeast is a DSDT-free solution for Core 2 or Core i systems. It installs Chimera v1.9.1 r1394 to allow your system to boot from the hard drive. Installs FakeSMC.kext, LegacyAppleRTC.kext, EvOreboot.kext, JMicron36xATA.kext, AHCI_3rdParty_SATA.kext...

Run MultiBeast through Terminal? possible ?

Well, Multibeast is just an installer, and Easybeast is just a collection of kexts and configuration files. So theoretically, you can install everything via command line. But you wouldn't actually run Easybeast from the command line. If you only need to reinstall one particular kext that's...

Problems with the Realtek ALC888 sound card

First, delete any existing audio kexts that you have. You can do this by going to /System/Library/Extensions in your hard drive and deleting anything with "HDA" in its name. Then, try installing this setup with Multibeast.
