I have tried upgrading to Sierra but get this message in the last few seconds of the install.
The SSD is a Samsung 850 EVO 1TB.
Would this be caused by this issue with the Samsung 950, as noted in the Sierra installation guide?
The system is configured as iMac 14.2

I got everything up an running again yesterday. It seems that connecting the old iMac HD gave something a kick in the right place.
Can Secure Boot be enabled without entering BIOS? I've not been in there (or made any changes anywhere) since changing fan speed...
I have not yet changed any BIOS settings.
Should I load "Optimized Defaults"
ATM if I Save & Exit, I get a black screen, a couple of cursors, before returning to the BIOS "EZ Mode"

My system has been operating without major issues for the past year.
The current problem occurred after what appeared to be a successful update to Sierra (ie successful boot to desktop).
Only after performing iTunes/Security Update has this problem occurred
Would/could iTunes/Security Update corrupt BIOS.
As per earlier post, all drives have been disconnected. The last thing I tried was to disconnect the SSD and reset CMOS. No change

Already swapped RAM, and jumper has been in normal position upon re-starts.
I do now have signal from the mobo HDMI (graphics card now removed).
I've removed battery, graphics card, and removed 2nd RAM. Connected monitor via mobo HDMI. Now there is no signal at all to display (as in "No signal detected etc")
