i have just converted from clover to open core for the use of Big Sur.
Systems runs great so far.
Now this is my first OS update with open core.
1 updated all kext
2 downloaded the update with system update
3 hit restart (on start up there was a new drive called
macintosh hd. But the istaller...
thanks for your efi file.
I did move to open core now. was quite some work and intens reading, but i have open core up and running.
And it all works as with catalina.
i would like to see your efi folder. i sm trying to convert to opencore but it‘s hard for me.
So the efi folder would be nice, of course i am not using anything from the smbios section.
would you be so kind to share your efi config and tell us what kind of adjustment you did.
I just can‘t get 5126 to work on my system (currently running catalina).
thanks.
Alright did all the above, but sadly endet up in a boot loop with black screen after the first apple logo.
It's too bad because the rest is working perfectly just not the preview with jpg.
can anyone help me.. I wanted to enable IGPU in bios on my Gigabyte board GA-Z77X-UD5H,
but could't find it anywhere.. maybe my board is too old.. or I just can't find it.
Well found the setting in bios and enabled it... result was that the boot went to the apple logo and then took ages...
just did a clean install and all went fine... all working.
Just noticed one thing, i can not open any jpg's with the apple preview app.
Other formats like pdf's work, just no jpg's
Can someone check that on his build.
thanks.
ran your latest script (audio_cloverHDMI-140_v0.1.command) on my fresh Mojave build to get audio back.
But it says
Error: discrete graphics card not found, unknown acpi PCI0 name
Names checked: 0 PEG0@1 PEG1@1 PEGP@1 P0P1@1 P0P2@1 P0P2@3 NPE3@2 NPE3@3 NPE7@3 pci-bridge@1 pci-bridge@3 BR3A@3...
sorry I am kind of lost.
I just did a clean install of Mojave and except sound all is good.
In the past I just ran the audio clover HDI 130 command line picked the option and all was working.
But this does not work anymore.
I have ALC 898 on my board
What do I need to do now with Mojave?
I have installed the ALC898 with multiplibeast directly. After two reboots audio is working.
The script was not working for me.
Thanks for your fast response as always!!!
with 10.13.1 I had no issues with audio I just ran the Toledo command script and enabled audio.
After the update to 130.13.2 I have a problem.
After I ran the Toledo command script my system will start boot but will never finish booting just
hangs in boot.
I did do a clean install for two...
i have just noticed that on the Clover boot screen three new partitions/disk have shown up.
one is still a install mac os from high sierra from the last update 10.13.1 which i have installed correctly.
Normally after the correct install this one is gone .. if i remember correctly?
And then...
after first reboot at clover screen choose "start from mac os high sierra install"
then it will finish the install.
Then at the next reboot start from your normal high sierra partition.
used the Trim force command in terminal (sudo trimforce enable)
In "about Mac" my SSD shows trim enabled now.
The message block at boot is still there, but I don't care because the rest of the system is running just fine.
i am not an expert, but my understanding was that with the new APFS disk format
used in high sierra trim is nativley implemented.
When i do activate the Trim kernel patch in clover, my system boots very slow.
http://www.zdnet.com/article/wwdc-2017-macoss-new-file-system/
i had a slow booting system as well.
Deleting the patch to enable trim support was doing the trick. Now boot times
are as they were with Sierra.
see this post as well.
