@gandem my windows server KP came back. Then I discovered bios 2004 was released while I was on vacation so I just updated to latest bios (2004) will keep you updated to see if this fixes it.
I didn't notice any significant performance drop other than maybe a -5% on 3dmark benchmark while on windows. System is stable enough for my normal use VS code (Jupyter notebook) and I haven't had any KP since Oct 3rd . But I did experience a minor glitch this morning on Message app when...
Well look like my system is stable again. I changed BIOS setting and disabled Asus multi core enhancement, Change XMP II to XMP1 and also forced BCLK to 100.0 instead of Auto.
I've been getting a lot of WindowServer crash causing the entire system to freeze up. It seems to happen after I updated to the latest Asus BIOS 1720 on 08/16 and then macOS 12.5.1 update on 08/17. So I am trying to figure out the culprit.
- Does anyone know by default how far back the Crash...
About the Bluetooth staying at 100% you can use brew and install sleepwatcher. I created a script to just do a pkill bluetoothd on wake (bluetoothd will auto restart) to clear the 100% cpu usage and it's been working great for me.

do you have issue with sleep? I used to have issue with sleep with the m.2 BCM module on my Strix-E z690 where the system would completely shutdown after the 9-10th sleep. I ended up using a regular PCI-E card now to resolve sleep issue.
Updated Asus z690 Strix E to BIOS Version 1720 without any issues. I remember to manually adjust CFG Lock manually this time so it was all smooth. It's quite annoying that CFG Lock is enabled by default and there's no GUI option to change so I have to rely on UEFI extract + modify grub efi .
Update. DisablingIOMapper did the trick! I am very happy that I don't have to use any extra boot args now.
@HenryM - Maybe update the guide in your other post that user might need to enable Apple VTD?
Thanks I'll try to Disable the DisableIOMapper. My vt-d is already enabled in BIOS. FYI the device property was already removed in my config.plist. It has a "#" in front of the device property so OC will treat that block as a comment.
I am using MacPro7,1 with an AMD rx6900xt on ASUS Strix Z690 DDR5 . I am also having DRM problem with Amazon Prime app and Safari not working. I am using DisplayPort on version 1.4 to my LG ultra wide. Would be great to know if any of the defaults would help. I might start experimenting the...
Hi all just wanted to report back that I have finally fixed my weird sleep issue. I used to have a problem where after 6-9 sleep cycles then my hack would just completely shut down on sleep. It turns out it is related my RAM XMP (Kingston Fury 5600 Mhz 64gb CL40 kit). I tried to manually loosen...
I am already using just USBMap.kext and have never used usbinjectall method. Unfortuatnely, I still have that issue however I am still using the script to kill bluetoothd on wake so it hasn't been an issue anymore.
I attached my USBMap.kext for a 2nd pair of eyes to look at.
You don't need to install another OS. You can download Ubuntu and run it as a VM from macOS using virtualization software like vmfusion player or Virtual Box.
ISK (Image Signing Key) is your private key which is only used for signing. You don't need to upload ISK to your motherboard. You only upload PK, KEK and DB.
Yes. This requires you to either
a) use motherboard GUI to add all the .EFI files from open core as "trusted" so the motherboard's firmware will allow loading if your .EFI in secure boot
b) Use linux UEFI Sign tools to sign all the .efi images from the open core EFI folder with your own private...
