I was installing native power management following this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-native-power-management-for-laptops.175801/ and I got a panic while rebooting, this is the screenshot.
EDIT: It seems to work after adding -xcpm to config.plist/Boot/Arguments...
One thing I don't know how to do, and apparently didn't find anything on the forum: how to rebuild the kext cache.
EDIT: Maybe I found something: do I only need to use this command on terminal (while on desktop):
"sudo touch /Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /" ?
EDIT 2: ok I've done...
El Capitan is now installed and I can boot without USB, I have almost everything not working as expected, now I want install these things for first:
Ethernet and Native power management. For the second one I will follow the guide in this site, but for the ethernet I really don't know how to start.
I have just tried with 0x01660004 in verbose mode and the process passed the first step and it let me choose the language, but the screen was buggy with some sort of artifact (I think they are called), is it because of the verbose mode or because of the ig-platform-id? Now I am trying without...
Ohhh ok, I was just watching the wrong number inside CPUz, my signature was correct, but then I chose the wrong config.plist.
I will try with the right config.plist now.
Well, now I understand... My PC has an Ivy CPU with a 6-series board (rare case, nice), so I was right choosing config_HD4000_1366x768_6series.plist right? Just to know if I understand well
But you also say that I don't need FakeID and IMEI, so how do I remove them?
Thanks for the helps
I am having a problem: first time booting usb with install_osx in verbose mode, the process is stuck at "DSMOS has arrived" (before that there were some lines of "sound assertion in ...."), then the second time I was changing the boot options to try to understand what they do and I forgot the...
Ok, and as far as I only used unibeast and multibeast I would like to use them here too, so I understand you never tried with them, but do you know at least if the whole process is possible with them? Sorry for the dumb question :confused:
Just one more thing, do I need to do this before or while installing El Capitan, or can I "successfully" install it and then see what works and what not and try to resolve it? I mean, if I skip point 5 of step 2 of this guide and try to install (maybe using multibeast?) will I be able to see the...
And do you know for example what? Because I only installed El Capitan on a desktop without much trouble before, so I don't know anything about Kext, DSDT or SSDT. I would like to install El Capitan (only) into the same laptop as the guide, but with 4gb of ram instead of 8, with AR956x for...
