On my nvidia dual stream for the Dell UP2715K i use ngfxpatch=pikera and it works like a charme. It recognize the Monitor as 1 monitor 27" 5K. Looking up the wiki, is exactly the same patch, so yeah you're good to go.
Just to be sure, you have the two Kexts (lilu+whatevergreen), this boot arg...
I think that his setup uses the iGPU but he wants to use the dGPU
EDIT: Misread. Sorry, you actually want to use the iGPU instead of the DGPU. Can't understand why, but to each their own
Did anyone tried an older SMBIOS 14,2 with Skylarke/Kaby/Coffee?
As the lag is absent on the older Haswell platform, maybe using an older SMBIOS without NvidiaGraphicsFixup (so AGDP is untouched) will result in no lag.
You should really buy a cheap RX 560
However are you using the DP? Try to hook up a different low resolution monitor and enable the 630. After its enabled and fully accelerated, hook up the 4K monitor.
However with a 27" monitor myself and an i5 6500 I just ended up buying a discrete gpu...
HS01 and HS02 for me are the USB ports on the case.
I downloaded the Z170 Pro Gaming aml file, and deleted the ports that our mobo don't use. For now can't see any problem, maybe you can try the same files too. The ASMedia is working too. Didn't use any uia_exclude, just removed from the...
It breaks nVidia drivers.
I patched them, and I am up and running without any problems. Still using old .104 drivers for lag reasons and because I don't trust nVidia to release better drivers lol
I tried all the combinations.
1. Only via clover
2. Only via trimforce
3. both of them at the same time
The results are bad in all the ways, enabled or disabled.
As the title states, I have a really slow write speed on my SSD. The read speed is OK (500 mb/s as it was advertised and as it was the first day I bought the SSD and tested on Windows).
FileSystem APFS (I am not sure if I had this problem before on HFS).
Trim enabled, trim patch in the...
HS07 and 08 are correctly mapped. I thought they were USB 3.0 so I mapped them as "double" ports. My mistake.
You're right though that SS07 and SS08 then, I don't know what they are. I made a mistake. I don't think it's important though because even without disabling them it's possible to stay...
@hiyelee @pipolamenace did you apply the patch and then the trimforce command, or the trimforce first and then the patch? I have tried but still have the same problem as you.
I have the patch and trim is enabled, even trimforce enables it. BUT still slow write speed.
Do you use APFS or HFS?
This is what I ended up mapping and excluding. Only thing missing is the custom SSDT via MaciASL
