    Just an update again, I am able to update to the latest firmware as of this post: P9X79 PRO BIOS 4608. Posting this one on a Hackintosh on this motherboard on this version... No issues so far both Windows 8.1 x64 (UEFI boot) and Mavericks (Legacy).
