    Rocket 88 - i7-6950x & Gigabyte GA-X99-Designare EX - Sierra 10.12.2

I'm getting this install error too with the same motherboard but with a Broadwell 6900k and a GTX 980ti, did you manage to solve it?

I do use FCPX actually, there is a huge graphics glitch error on nvidia cards from FCPX 10.2 onwards ( I think it's that version onwards) - not a huge issue for me as I use a decklink card for output monitoring but still pretty annoying for us nvidia users!

I have *pretty much* the same set up apart from the motherboard, thunderbolt and firewire card - I'm 100% stable, check your BIOS settings first would be my 2 cents!

[SUCCESS] BigFats i7-6800k/Gtx 980 workstation build

No problem, I too am working through a mix of every x99 guide I can find, I don't suppose you remember having a 'pci configuration end' reboot loop do you? Currently stuck there and I cannot for the life of me figure out what's wrong!

[SUCCESS] BigFats i7-6800k/Gtx 980 workstation build

Amazing work! I'm wrestling with a pretty similar build but my cpu is a 6900k - would you consider making a guide for this build?

Can't get pass the Boot Screen

Your new CPU isn't supported yet, I know because I bought the same upgrade! *possibly* we have to wait until Sierra is released...

Broadwell-E can't get Nvidia drivers to work

Oh I see, I actually have my previous Yosemite install already on an SSD (this is an upgrade anyway), I can just plonk that into the new machine and update EFI/config as per the top of this thread? Oh and sorry I mean a Broadwell-E i7-6900k! :-)

Broadwell-E can't get Nvidia drivers to work

llamafilm, I don't suppose you could take the time to put together a really brief bullet point list of what you used in the end to get your system installed? I too have a Designare X99 board but with an i7-6900e, really having trouble getting to the OS install stage!
