    Edimax EW-7711MAC Catalina 10.15

Sorry Benny, I don't know about that adapter. I've gone to a wired ethernet cable to avoid all these wifi dongle issues, but I appreciate that isn't possible for everyone. It's probably best for you to purchase a different adapter, one that's known to work fine in Mojave (like the EW-7711MAC) if...

    macOS 10.15.1 Update

All good here. Updated kexts from links on page one here, left Clover as is (5093), ran combo update from link, one reboot into the Data disk, one more into Catalina, and here I am.

So finally managed to install fully. Used a different usb stick, deleted the Catalina download in Mojave app folder, re-downloaded it, ran the usb install with the terminal method, installed latest clover, patched the EC0 thing, and it all worked. Currently installed on a backup hard drive...

New issue :). When installing from usb, gets to this point then fails. “An error occurred when validating the installer data. The download is either damaged or incomplete”. Install usb is made from the guide on this site (updated one for beta using terminal, but for full release). Clover is 5093.

    stuck at this on install

Tried all that again, still stuck at same point. When you say "patch your DSDT", you mean in the DSDT section of the config file of the usb installer, yeah? Using clover configurator I mean.

NVIDIA GeForce gtx 650 Catalina 10.15

GTX 650 is natively supported in everything up to 10.14.6 Mojave, is this still the case in 10.15 Catalina? Have read some conflicting information.

    Edimax EW-7711MAC Catalina 10.15

Cool. Can I ask, do you use it for bluetooth audio? I've a bt USB adapter, audio to bt headphones/earphones is patchy, an issue most people seem to suffer. Wondering if it's any better with this card.

    Edimax EW-7711MAC Catalina 10.15

Emailed Edimax, got this response: "The EW-7711MAC was no longer supported by the chipset vendor and we never got official drivers for Mac OS 10.13. it seems that 10.15 need to use a different type of drivers because the 32-bit system is not supported anymore. Unfortunately this means that...

Catalina upgrade stays stuck on apple load bar [SOLVED]

I managed to boot in safe mode, graphics disabled. But major problem is my Edimax WiFi adapter isn’t Catalina compatible, so that’s a deal breaker for me right now. Going back to Mojave via backup.
