    New Fusion Drive

Interesting thing about this technology is, that alle read commands are performed on SSD first. The OS later then decides to swap a file to the mechanical drive, when used rarely. Vice versa, the FusionDrive swaps back files from the mechanical drive to SSD, if used more often. TimeMachine will...

one question concerning Bluetooth adapter: The adapter obviously must be inserted in USB slot while booting the Mac. Adding the Adapter afterwards when the system is up, won't do. I guess this is because the Mac OS checks and enables all those active interfaces while booting the system and...

It depends on your appliction settings. In Firefox for example you can redirect the download manager to a different place. Same goes with FinalCutProX and all the other software packages, where you can tweak the settings (download location etc.). Another option is to use links (...

Thanks Stork ! I've read somewhere that Apple advices to use boot discs that are smaller than one TB. Bocee: Maybe this error show up because of your hard discs > 1 TB ? If the solution that Stork forwarded us to won't work, have you got a different hard disc to install your boot partition...

You have to write the Bootloader (Chimera) onto your root partition. This is done with MultiBeast. UniBeast is the tool for creating the bootable MountainLion USB stick. After installing MountainLion and while being up with Mac OS for the first time, you must use MultiBeast to toggle your...
