Another update.... I went back to my old settings with no internal gfx... and the render problems stayed. I had to restore a new system image from the week before.... and only that would fix the problem. It's a shame because VLC seemed to decode x264 anad x265 much smoother with the settings...

glad i found this thread. I have the same problems, over time the computer grinds to a halt, but even closing Chrome wouldn't fix it. Once it happened, it happened and I would have to restart. I've just turned off hardware acceleration in Chrome so fingers crossed.... It made my whole computer...

I have the same problem, but I have nothing in diskutil cs list ;No CoreStorage logical volume groups found'. Frustrating. My high sierra install USB boots up fine, but then it can't see itself in the list. Every other one of my drives shows up, but not the USB key itself!

Okay, my F20e was a beta bios and maybe that is why I was allowed to go back and forth? That's all I can think of right now. Hopefully the DOS thing will work for you
