OC 0.6.7 macOS Big Sur 11.2 Battery Drain

So replacing SMCBatteryManager with ACPIBatteryManager DID improve the battery time. It was able to slightly flatten the battery graph in activity monitor. Still though, it is loosing battery at a rapid pace even when idle. It also occurred to me that I test my sleep and it transpired the laptop...

OC 0.6.7 macOS Big Sur 11.2 Battery Drain

@Edhawk Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. As per your advice I'm fixing the USB. Does this seem correct? For CPU and Battery, I'm not too sure how to contact other moderators. Guessing I just hope they reply here? Because in the past, I just used to add SMCBatteryManager in...

OC 0.6.7 macOS Big Sur 11.2 Battery Drain

So I removed one of the conflicting SSDTs Spoof-SSDT, only kept SSDT-dGPU-Off. As you said, I attached IOREG as well as Windows Device Manager's Boot Device Name for GPU. Turns out I have same ACPI address in SSDT as reported by Boot Device Name of GPU, at least as per my understanding.

OC 0.6.7 macOS Big Sur 11.2 Battery Drain

    1. I'm using SMCBatteryManager.kext 2. I have added SSDT-DGPU-OFF for GTX 1650 but it seemed to not be making much of a difference. 3. Apart from that, I have a card reader and a USB C port. They won't be making much of a difference. Right? I have attached the updated EFI folder. Please have...

OC 0.6.7: Unable to add GUI to boot

This seems trivial task. Prior to OC 0.6.6, I was able to enable GUI at boot just fine. However, I followed the same procedure with 0.6.7 but still have to GUI. It boots with default OC boot loader. Can someone point out what am I missing here. My EFI is attached.

OpenCore 0.6.6: HDMI not working for UHD 630

That seems like a $350-400 expense. I'll better off using Windows when I need HDMI :)

Alas. That is major limitation :(

OpenCore 0.6.6: HDMI not working for UHD 630

Yeah I realised that afterwards. With external display, it shows GTX 1650. SO my quesiton is if I keep this GPU enabled in hackintosh, can I use HDMI?

OpenCore 0.6.6: HDMI not working for UHD 630

@Feartech Here is my screenshot from Advanced Display settings. It is showing Intel, so that means I can use HDMI with my hac, right?

As per dortania guide isn’t using XOSI breaks Windows booting?

Opencore: I2C Trackpad not working with SSDT-GPI0

These are “differences” not errors! I had to make those changes on my HP Laptop These are as per “OC Guide”. I hope it makes sense.

Opencore: I2C Trackpad not working with SSDT-GPI0

@Feartech Thanks but i just checked there. And apart from major DevirtualiseMmio, RebuildAppleMemoryMap and UnblockFsConnect discrepancies which I elaborated already there were just cosmetic differences like AllowNvramReset etc. That’s why I asked if you can point any major problem there? Thanks

Opencore: I2C Trackpad not working with SSDT-GPI0

Can you please point to some specific issues in the config.plist? My machine is HP, so DevirtualiseMmio, RebuildAppleMemoryMap and UnblockFsConnect are kept this way. And apologies for saying a KP. What I want to say is that my applying ACPI patches with SSDT-GPIO.aml I’m stuck at that screen...

Okay. I followed the guide and tried to come up with my patching. Unfortunately, it is throwing a kernel panic at boot. Can you please point out what could be wrong here. I have attached my updated OC folder.

Opencore: I2C Trackpad not working with SSDT-GPI0

@Feartech So I determined my ACPI ID is "\_SB.PCI0.I2C0.TPAD" i.e. TPAD. My hexadecimal PIN number is 0x4a and my device is "well root pinned" as per the DSDT. According to Step 2e, there should only be following Return statement in _CRS at the end: Return (ConcatenateResTemplate (SBFB, SBFG))...
