    Worth Upgrading?

I recently upgraded my hackintosh knowing very well that Intel macOS is coming to an end soon. I'll keep using last Intel macOS until most mac apps written for Intel is no longer available or supported. Some mac apps developers stopped updating their apps for Intel as it's more expensive for...

When will macOS stop x86 support?

Linux was created from scratch as a hobby by Linus Torvalds. It's a kernel itself but it's not UNIX. All the packages put together by the distros made Linux look like an UNIX. macOS was based off from FreeBSD which was based off from original AT&T UNIX. Yes, macOS is heavily modified OS from...

    Favorite Mac OS Version, Anyone?

For me.. Mavericks and Mojave are the best macOS. Going forward with Catalina and beyond are crapOS with lockdowns, locked root folders, integration with iOS and eventually macOS will be replaced with iOS. It's becoming more and more like iPhone and less desktop experience.

When will macOS stop x86 support?

Maybe. We'll see when Apple ends support for Intel-based macOS. A lot of things can change and Apple can make it impossible for future macOS to run in VM but I doubt it as devs need VM to test mac apps.

When will macOS stop x86 support?

Parallels have the resources, money and license to get it to work in virtual machine. Many developers use it for sandbox testing for their apps in different macOS versions. It can even run legacy macOS Tiger.

When will macOS stop x86 support?

Doubtful. I think we will have a virtual machine to run latest macOS (non-intel versions). This makes most sense since reverse engineering M1/M2 chip is unrealistic. Parallels does support M1 so we could probably run legacy macOS with latest macOS (M1/M2) in Parallels.

Tim Cook suggests users should get yearly iPhone upgrades

Steve or Tim should had a backup location to make iPhone or macs long time ago. Putting everything in China is really really bad idea to start with. Sure it's cheap labor there but politics are another thing with Xi becoming more authoritarian or dictator. I just don't understand why American...

A great idea for reducing cable clutter in your case

It's not the first time they came up with the idea. It should have been done years ago. Now let's see if other motherboard/graphics manufacturers adopt this standard.

Confused by buyers guide... - Old Hackintosher back for round 3!

I would recommend getting a Z470 or Z490 motherboard to get nearly full macOS support. There are plenty of guides here to get it up and running. Yes those boards are difficult to find new. I got mine from Newegg shipped from China. The motherboard manual was in Chinese so I downloaded the...
