This thread is just about yosemite.
I was wrong again, it WAS the graphics.
With the nvidia card AND IMPORTANT a dvi to dvi cable everything works without any bootflag.
Without a BIOS patch or any extra kext.
WLAN works with dlink dwa 131
Audio works with the latest voodoohda
Hey,
I just also have the intel i5 2500k and the asus p8p67 rev 3.1 with the newest bios and I can't even get to the installation screen. Can you please tell me which bios version you are using?
Thanks
Ok, you were absolutely right, with the nvidia gpu it still doesn't work and this time I can't even get to the install screen. But this might be because I did a bios update on the newest version, so I think it is my mainboard that is causing all of the problems. I also haven't heard from anybody...
Yep, tried it with Yes, No and without anything. Everytime the same issue.I think it doesn't has to do anything with my graphics but with my mainboard.
Haven't heard of anybody running osx on it (it's not the pro or deluxe version)
I have the newest bios installed but i read somewhere that it...
Hello,
I just tried to install Osx Snow Leopard to my desktop pc after yosemite didn't work.
Now I did everything as described (except the 64 bit mode in bios, not shure how to find that) but I can't get to the installation screen of Snow Leopard.
I downloaded the normal IBoot and I bought the...
Hey,
thank you very much for these instructions!
They worked perfectly for my Toshiba Kira 101.
Next thing for me is to see what I can get to work, it's all a bit laggy..
Cheers
Sorry I don't try Yosemite with my amd graphics anymore. But I tried to install snow leopard with the regular iboot and maybe this is a hint: when i try to install it without bootflags it win't go over the apple logo and the wheel spinning forever. When I try it with pcirootuid=0 -x -v it says...
thanks for all your tips, with the secound method sth funny is happening:
its not a white screen anymore but instead of the apple logo there is a circle with a diagonal line in it like you have a sign on the street ..
I think its enough for me now, I will wait for the other grafic card and then...
I did a reinstall and after that tried tonys bootloader which is extra for my mainboard and now all i get after selecting my os is a completely black screen (monitor not blinking)
this is so frustrating, is there any chance it will ever work?
I did everything as you described, even typing in Ipomoea instead of Lotus but it didnt work. One thing I couldnt do was copying thr dsdt file cause I didnt find one.
I do a bios update now cause I read that might be a problem.
I get this black screen with a white apple logo now.
Or shall I wait...
Thank you very much I will try this today.
Otherwise a friend of mine gave me a nvidia geforce 8800 gt. I hope it works with my mainboard cause it has a pcie slot.
I read that this card is supported oob so if your method doesn't work I have a plan b :)
