Found a fix. Ripped the drive out of my machine, put it in a dock, mounted EFI on a Mac laptop and downgraded to a previous EFI backup.

Thank you for the great guide. I have a very similar system to you, and I've tried several methods to get Yosemite installed, but for some reason when I select the USB drive to boot from, my computer just loads into Windows. Do I have to have a patched bios for this?
