Thank you very much, that's brilliant.
My SSD runs as APFS and the storage as HFS+, i assume there'll be no issues there as that's a relatively standard apple set up?
Hello everyone,
I've had a look through the existing forums and struggled to find a similar problem/query. It may have already been answered and I haven't found it.
I've had some trouble with my existing mackintosh build with audio outputs becoming unrecognised following sleep and the system...
Thank you very much for your reply.
I have done as such and found that the sound returned but now it seems to have gone again. I’ll post new files once I’ve had a look to see if there is a reason why.
Dear Toleda,
Please see below the details of the lack of audio since having updated to the latest MacOS - Mojave
I am unable to detect an audio device but have got the codecs present within the system. I'm hoping I have made a small oversight somewhere that can be easily corrected.
My system...
Yeah I mean the green port. Annoyingly on my mobo, they opted to not colour code the audio ports as they are usually done.
Ill give that one a go, is there any benefit to trying the external amp support? Or is it just as suitable to stick with your method now its working?
So after the long journey I do now have working audio. Thank you very much :)
I do still have the issue that the line out port doesn't amplify correctly and I have to use the black port for audio but this one does work correctly. I presume there's little scope to change this?
Thank you again :)
I didn’t restart after finishing the install, I just opted to use multibeast straight away. The files attached are after the restart following the multibeast. So I did;
Final install
Multibeast
Restart
Files produced
Okay so I have successfully ran a full fresh install of high sierra and have then proceeded to use multibeast to install the Alc1150 audio patch but with no apparent success. I have attached the files as requested per the original page, hoping its an easy fix this time round :/
The ones such as RealtekALC.kext
I googled the issue of the installer not loading up properly and being stuck where it had been and that was one of the issues it could of been apparently.
Just odd that the installer won’t load fully (Boot install OS from os installer) when only a few weeks...
Ill try the first option initially, if doing the second option, what partition would I make and is there a chance that partition could begin o delete content?
Having tried the first method, I have found that the installer gets stalled on kext stalled (240s) Apple ACPICPU
Is this due to having...
I went to do this and have now lost all my audio outputs again...Nothing has changed since though. Is there anything I should try now?
I had thought about whether or not the DSDT was working correctly?
details as in files?
The sound volume had to be near maximum (14/16) compared to it needing to be on one or two bars out of 16 prior to the update.
Whats weird now is that I have restarted the computer and now I have lost all sound outputs again, its becoming very random as to how and what is...
So i have removed the appleALC.kext and the lilu.kext and I now have the audio back as before but there is a lack of amplification and a lot of distortion in the sound, is there any possible reason for this?
okay, this is where its confused me, there was pinconfigs as there was audio devices after the first install of AppleALC, upon restart, the issues then started again.
