[solved] ASUS R510C Screen Glitching w/ Intel HD 4000

I don't know if I actually fixed the problem, but there are a few things I did: I added the Realtek 8111 kext to the Clover folder and was able to get a working Internet connection. (The device I have uses the same one as the ASUS Transformer Book Flip and therefore doesn't work.) I changed the...

[solved] ASUS R510C Screen Glitching w/ Intel HD 4000

The laptop screen is broken and I can only see a small portion of the screen. This is why I mirror/extend to the external monitor in hopes of getting it to function. I am considering buying another replacement screen (the first one broke during shipping) so I can use it as a MacBook. Also...

[solved] ASUS R510C Screen Glitching w/ Intel HD 4000

I would love to try Remote Desktop, but I haven’t found the right combination of kexts required to get the WiFi card working properly. I believe my card is an AR928X, but I haven’t found full information on the card. I might have to investigate on Linux when I get the chance. Also, BIOS is a...

[solved] ASUS R510C Screen Glitching w/ Intel HD 4000

Unfortunately, I cannot fetch the IOreg or the patchmatic files as the screen is too unusable to actually get them, let alone do anything else. It keeps glitching out too much to a point where it covers the entire screen like a psychedelic trip or something... Is there a way I can do this...

[solved] ASUS R510C Screen Glitching w/ Intel HD 4000

Hello, It's been a long while since I did a Hackintosh project, but I wanted to convert my XC550A (R510C) from a Windows machine to a full-blown Hackintosh laptop. I was able to successfully install macOS Sierra onto the hard drive and I can boot into the graphical desktop, but I am unable to...

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

Aloha again, It's been quite a while since I worked on this Hackintosh project. That SoundArch.zip file in the previous post has the IORegistryExplorer output, the Patchmatic output, the AppleHDA.kext, and the EFI/Clover information. I'm sorry I didn't mention it sooner until now.

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

OK, I've changed the layout ID from 12 to 3, added the IRQ fix, and compiled it. I added the DSDT to Clover, but the sound still doesn't appear. I attached the DSDT.dsl above; what did I do wrong?

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

OK, I resolved the errors and compiled it. Now what do I do?

    Thank you.

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

That solved the 4096 problem. Now I'm getting tons of other errors. I don't even know what to modify or delete! Should I send you the DSL for you to look at? I'm too afraid to mess with this file other than adding the patch.

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

I keep getting these errors whenever I compile. When I do add the '(', it reports another error. What's going on? It just doesn't make sense. Why open another statement where one needs to be closed?

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

It doesn't tell me what I need to type. It just mentions the patches and how to find the Codec ID. From the tutorials I read, they normally add sample code, like this: print("Hello") write ("enter password ") I don't know what code to add or modify. It's not specific enough for me.

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

I have read the section, but I don't know what to type to make the patch. :/ Also, I do understand that USB WiFi is not recommended, but I am not very good at taking apart laptops. Also, I need something easy, like the USB WiFi, for when I quickly need to get to the Web. If you were to...

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

Ok, what do I add to the DSDT to make it work? I looked on the site, but nothing useful came up; it just told me 'DSDT/HDEF/Layout-ID' Also, are there any USB WiFi sticks you would recommend for this laptop? I found a few, but they're for Windows only. I don't want to get another WiFi card as...

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

Is there a way to enable it through Clover? I noticed this in the config.plist: My apologies for the double upload on the image.

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

Just found it: ALC233. I tried using this link and downloaded the codec: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298663-applehda-for-yosemite/ I checked that the flags in Clover were "kext-dev-mode=1" and replaced the AppleHDA. Also, I added it in the S/L/E and the EFI/CLOVER/KEXTS/10.10 and...

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

Yep, I just found it. The graphics now work like a charm. Did that IOreg tell you what my sound card was, by any chance? I found the kexts for several ones with the Realtek cards, but I don't know which one it is.

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

I chose the 4000 as that was as close to 4400. I couldn't find the 4400 one from the link you sent me. Perhaps I missed it?

    ASUS Transformer Book Flip?

Is the FakeID in the original Clover config.plist? I used the config_HD4000_1366x768.plist. How do I add the FAKEID into the plist file through Xcode? It's hard as the editor is graphical, not text based. Also, I didn't see a 'key' option.
