I did not see this excellent guide, but got 10.11.6 running on my configuration fine, until I updated the BIOS on my M5 from 1.8 to 1.A. Not boot. After going back to 1.8 I can again boot OS X. Anyone else have this issue? (Hmm .. config not correct - now updated to i7-6700K, 32 Gb of GSkill...

Thanks - I had missed that. I've now double checked all the BIOS settings, and injected nVidia drivers. The installer now starts....

Installer finished OK. MultiBeast helped set up most things. Had to edit plist to stop nVidia injection after driver installation. Audio still flakey...
Newbie trying to install El Capitan.
Hardware - Samsung 850Evo m.2, MSI GTX960, MSI Z170 Gaming 5, Crucial DDR4, 2133 4x4Gb
Installer runs every second attempt - the first try gets the prohibited sign.
The installer will run and then crash, with the error

Good advice- there is no thermal solution with the i5-6600K and -i7-6700K.
