I see... but if macOS installer can create, there must be a way for manually creating too... I will still trying, if I find something I will reply.
Thanks for now.
Sorry, just wrong copy and past, I used the right file (64-bit).
Unfortunately Sony does not support Vaio anymore:
BIOS Date: 03/4/2013
Version: R1021C8
What makes me crazy is: someway Clover is seen by EFI after I installed High Sierra.. in other words, in someway EFI has created the OSX...
I've tried last night for several hours creating Windows entry.
Ubuntu "efibootmgr" command creates entries, but when I reboot the entries are deleted.
If I copy from Windows 10 disk the Boot/* and Microsoft directories to the Clover disk and rename "\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgr.efi" to...
Oh I see...
Well I don't have "EFI/Microsoft/Boot" in the same disk as Clover 'cause if I put it there Clover does not run and Windows always run instantly and gives me no choice.
Windows is installed as EFI... What I meant is in order to try "fast boot" (that is not available in my BIOS) I could try to change the fast boot value in the same way DVMT Prealloc method changes the video min size...
Actually this BIOS don't have many options... even "fast boot" is missing. Basically what they provide as options are only TPM, boot method(EFI or legacy), boot order and something like "enable virtual blablabla..."
Maybe I could find "fast boot" address and try to change via "setup_var" in EFI...
The config.plist are the same in both disks (USB and HDD); The Kexts are the same, and UEFI Drivers 64bit are the same.
The workaround I found is: When I wanna boot "Windows 10", I go into Sony's EFI menu (that one where I enter powering on via "assist" button and I can select "boot usb...
Hello,
I got a Sony Vaio Laptop where I installed High Sierra in the internal HDD and everything is working.
In this same laptop, I've removed the internal DVD and installed a caddy with a HDD, in this HDD I've installed Windows 10 and everything works perfect too.
If I unplug...
Yes, I've just installed High Sierra reusing all kexts and dsdt and sstdt from sierra and all software packages I use and now everything works as expected.
Thanks for your time.
Sorry, I did not reply because I f*d my installation and even the battery status is showing 0% and seems to not work anymore.
So I decided reinstall from ground, but I will wait for final High Sierra availability on monday.
Thank you very much so far.
Almost 1 month trying and I don't have even how to construct a question...
I am writing again because I've just reinstalled Sierra and the problems are identical: Speed Step never goes below 3Ghz and Wake always reboot my laptop. Latest clover (4200) is generating SSDT-7.aml via F4 (previous...
Now I've updated the original *.aml (Clover F4); (I thought this would never change, so never need to update it, if I not changed hardware and bios/uefi);
I have USB implementation as per guide (actually what I understand from the guide):
- Remove unused ports using "uia_exclude=" boot...
I'm facing some problems after 10.12.6 update:
Laptop never wakes from sleep, instead it reboots.
Power Management never goes below 3Ghz in "Intel Power Gadget"
What I tried:
- Almost any flag in Clover's ACPI section
- Patching DSDT / SSDTs in Maciasl and via Clover Hotpatch
- ssdtPRGen.sh...
Yes, definitely.
I must mention if I have no external display, I would report the laptop never wakes from sleep... because it tries some seconds and see it does not have any display and goes back to sleep.
After several weeks, your tips helped me to solve the problem.
Actually it may be a native DSDT problem: I instrumented DSDT to debug with your ACPIDebug.kext... So I was able to see when I put to sleep via menu, LID return value was 1 for open and 0 for close, but when I put to sleep closing...
That's great, the AppleHDA is loading again after patching "IRQ Fix".
I have update the extracted DSDTs and repatched it again - files attached.
Now I have CPU PM, Brightness control, Sound and everything else. The only problem stills being the original one: internal display shutdown (and don't...
